• To avoid judgment, Erin smiled and excitedly said, "Just helping out my sister-in-law keep everything a secret. I'm hoping I will be an aunt soon."
• The lie was enough to relieve the tension of the interaction with the attendant and Erin quickly paid and left the pharmacy with her pregnancy tests in a barely anonymous white plastic bag.
