Chapter 20 Awakening

• Sometime later, Felix woke up. As soon as he regained consciousness, he felt like all his bones were broken. Especially his back, which was burning with pain. Any slight movement would cause him to break out in a cold sweat. Enduring the intense pain, Felix looked around the surroundings and finally realized he was lying by the side of a bottomless lake.
• He felt fortunate that there was water beneath them. Otherwise, carrying Emily from such a height, they would have definitely met a fatal end. He also felt lucky that he had significantly improved his strength last night, making his body much stronger. Otherwise, even if there were water below, falling from such a height would have left him with shattered bones.
• Thinking of Emily, Felix urgently searched the surroundings for any signs of her. To his relief, she was lying not far away.
