Chapter 5

  • ISABELLA'S POV.
  • Hours later…
  • I glanced slightly above me, she was still asleep, a smile formed on my face as I pulled myself up from the bed, whatever it was that they had injected her with seemed to have worked, I had never felt satisfied all my life I felt better, knowing my plan was proceeding just as I wanted it to, soon enough i'll have Cornell all to myself.
  • With no one around to bother me, not even Ava, I was so close to getting my dreams fulfilled, everything was going according to my plan, it made me instantly relieved.
  • The doctor walked into the room and looked stunned to see me seated up,
  • “How are you feeling now, Miss Isabella? You don't seem to be in pain anymore.” he asked, knowing I had been crying and writhing in pain all along, but he was a doctor and I expected him to be way smarter than that.
  • “Cornell, where is he at the moment?.” I asked easily, glancing down at that door.
  • “He's waiting up, the surgery is about to begin, and he asked that we take special care of you. He doesn't seem to feel too good, I'm sure he'll take it as good news when he sees that you are doing fine.” the doctor explained happily, smiling broadly as it stretched from ear to ear.
  • A scoff escaped my lips as I stared frankly at him, although it registered as good news to me hearing and seeing how worried Cornell was worried about me, I had him wrapped around my fingers, just the way I wanted it.
  • “I have a deal for you, and it comes in with lots of money, any amount you want to name it, but in exchange you will not say a thing about what I want to ask of you to anyone.” I responded, the doctors had a confused look on his face, but I was certain he would cave in, with money anything was possible.
  • “Please talk to me, what exactly is it that you have to say?” he asked, staring at me intently as a smile came to my lips.
  • “The transplant, I want you to make it happen.” I retorted.
  • “But you are fine now, you can see.. You don't seem to be in pain anymore, what's wrong?. '' he asked, trying to sound as clueless as possible, even when I knew he understood already.
  • “I was never in pain to begin with I just wanted to put up and act, so now here is he deal, you'll keep he lies between the two of us, Cornell and none else must find out about this, you'll continue with the transplant, only that her eyes would be removed, you can find a couple of bad ones to replace with hers, and mine will remain intact.”
  • A gasp escaped the doctor's lips as he stated at me, wide eyed in surprise, acting startled but I felt no remorse or pain,
  • “It's against my profession and the oath I have as a doctor. I simply can not do what you ask of me. How can I take an innocent person, remove her eyes and replace them with bad ones while you keep your eyes and lie, what could she have done to you?” he asked, completely bewildered, but I didn't budge, I was not bothered, I had pretty much every intention of getting what it was that I wanted.
  • She had done nothing wrong, but it was her mistake of having the man I wanted, I wanted Cornell by all means and I had no intention to stop until I had him all to myself.
  • “See, I don't need your questions or your humanity, I'm asking you to do just something so little and you'll get a high sum of money for it, consider it saving yourself of instruments and stress, you would not be completing the transplant remember?.”
  • I asked and he sighed loudly, I could tell he was thinking of my offer, all I needed was to push up on the talk a little more.
  • “all you will need to do is just relax calmly okay? You got paid a high sum of money for the transplant already, you would not need to operate on two people, just her alone okay, and with that ill double whatever it was that Cornell had paid you? What do you think about it? I assure you it's the best offer and if you don't accept it you'll be refunding Cornell and think about just how much money it is that you will be losing, make a smart choice doctor” I explained and enjoyed the look of confusion on his end.
  • I knew money was never stressful for me, I could probably ask or take from Cornell and he would not be bothered, but not everyone had the opportunity to be just like us.
  • “But you have to promise me mam, that no one must hear of this, I'll be risking my license if it's found out.” he complained and I nodded, running my index finger over my lips.
  • “No one would, I promise, it's our little secret between you and I.” I explained slowly, feeling way better than I ought to.
  • He nodded slowly.
  • “Relax back into the bed, I'll have to give you an Injection to make it look more real, you'll make the payment after the transplant.” he explained and I nodded, gloating with an air of pride before relaxing back into the bed, while I watched him prepare an injection.
  • Things were finally setting to the rail , just as I wanted them to, soon I'll have all that I wanted and Ava will be rendered helpless, weak, useless and blind and to top it all, Cornell would be mine alone.
  • I winced slightly from pain as I felt a sharp needle pierce through my skin.
  • “Now you'll fall asleep, but all will be fine soon.” the doctor explained, my sight became blurry and my senses got all humbled up as I closed my eyes shut.
