  • In one go, Clinton made his strength attribute his strongest attribute.
  • After the intense battle against the Stone Ogre, Clinton learned a few things.
  • First was the importance of the speed attribute. Against the much larger Stone Ogre, it was exposed to him how glaringly lacking his speed attribute was and how much it could contribute to victory in battle.
  • By now, he already confirmed that the speed attribute did not just affect his running speed but his body coordination and reaction speed in battle.
  • A high speed attribute was vital for him to win battles.
  • If he had all the strength in the world but without the speed to hit his opponents accurately, it would inevitably mean very little.
  • This was why Clinton spent a portion of his free attribute points on the speed attribute.
  • In that battle, he also learned the importance of his vitality attribute even more. One direct attack from the Stone Ogre almost ended his f*cking life!
  • His defense was inadequate.
  • This was why he spent even more free attribute points on upgrading it.
  • But in that battle, of all the other combat lessons that he learned, if there was one thing that was hammered even more into his head, it was the sheer importance of the strength attribute.
  • To him, it was without doubt his most important attribute.
  • Without his high strength stat, no matter how sharp his crafted weapons were, he would have never been able to crack open the tough skin of the Stone Ogre. He would have never posed any threat to the Stone Ogre.
  • In his past 2 days of staying in this world, there was one thing that Clinton realized to be important than everything else already, strength.
  • Strength was the ticket to live comfortably in this world just as money was the ticket to live comfortably in his previous life and world.
  • In this world, strength meant everything.
  • This was the reason why he spent the most free attribute points still on his strength attribute. This was the surest way of increasing his survival chances in this world since it would help him take down strong foes like the Stone Ogre.
  • And since it also went hand in hand with his vampire passive skill, to him, increasing his ability to murder was the priority.
  • After such a draining battle, the only thing in Clinton’s head at this moment was to rest and that was exactly what he did.
  • About an hour later, Clinton woke up again feeling refreshed.
  • Then, crawling out of his hideout and reassembling his body, he went out in search of his crafted weapons that he lost on his first encounter with the Stone Ogre. Just like he expected, they were not lost.
  • They were right where he first encountered the level 3 Stone Ogre.
  • Only 4 of them were intact though, the last of the Wooden Spears already cracked as it seemed to have been stepped on by a huge and powerful monster.
  • After picking up his weapons, standing up and no longer feeling entirely like prey in this decaying forest, Clinton set his sight ahead, on prey.
  • Right now, he was no longer prey but predator.
  • After leveling up to become level 4, gaining his first combat class and leaving the classless status, his increased health points finally, and after getting his first combat skill, Clinton felt confident in his strength for the first time since his reincarnation into this world.
  • So now, he wanted to test his newfound strength to discover where he was in the grand scheme of things and food chain of this decaying forest.
  • At that moment, remembering the fact that his HP value increased, he smiled which in his skeleton face only looked creepy.
  • ‘I guess that’s one way to increase my HP’.
  • ‘But is that the only way to increase it?’
  • Clinton had no answer to his question so he could only do the other thing that lingered in his head, testing out his newfound strength.
  • This time, Clinton set his sights on one of the most powerful Green Goblins packs in the decaying forest that he had avoided since arriving here.
  • He set his sights on one of the packs led by a level 4 Green Goblin.
  • Whoosh!
  • The sight of a white skeleton rushing into their midst stunned the Green Goblins into alarm as they raised their clubs and wooden daggers.
  • Before they could attack though, the skeleton was already attacking.
  • This time, instead of stalking his prey, planning extensively and waiting for the right moment before attacking, Clinton forfeited all that elaborate preparations and simply charged in once he found his prey.
  • This was because unlike before, he was more powerful now.
  • There were six Green Goblins in this pack, three level 2 Green Goblins, two level 3 Green Goblins, and the leader, the level 4 Green Goblin.
  • Standing at almost 2 meters tall, this Green Goblin towered above the others that were mostly a meter tall. It also towered above Clinton.
  • The sight of the tall monster did not scare Clinton though.
  • Rushing into their midst, Clinton merely shifted his skeleton body swiftly, dodging the attacks of the level 2 Green Goblins even as he rammed into them with his body, pushing them aside.
  • One of the level 3 Green Goblins attacked at this moment with its club.
  • For this battle, Clinton wielded only 2 weapons, a Wooden Spear on his right hand and a Wooden Dagger on his left.
  • Just as the level 3 Green Goblin attacked, slamming down with its club, Clinton raised his Wooden Spear horizontally to block.
  • BAM!
  • Both wooden weapons collided, sending a slight negligible tremor through Clinton’s bones as he shrugged it off and counterattacked.
  • His left bony hand stabbed forward with his crafted Wooden Dagger.
  • Ptui!
  • The Wooden Dagger effortlessly stabbed into the neck of the defenseless Green Goblin. Compared to the Stone Ogre that he killed, this Green Goblin’s hide may as well be as tough as paper.
  • Blood flowed like a fountain followed by system notifications.

  • Clinton did not even flinch despite killing this monster in just one blow despite the fact that secretly inside, he was doing a happy dance.
  • Despite his feelings inside though, outwardly, he maintained his composure, ducking to dodge the other level 3 Green Goblin’s attack before pouncing finally at the level 4 Green Goblin.
  • Unlike the others, this massive Green Goblin wielded 2 wooden daggers.
  • As soon as Clinton pounced, it attacked.
  • Bam! Bam!
  • Clinton blocked with his Wooden Spear as he felt his bony right-hand ring slightly from the impact, but it was not the impact that scared him, it was the speed.
  • This Green Goblin’s speed was freakish!
  • Bam! Bam! Bam!
  • Not paying attention to the death of its subordinates, this level 4 Green Goblin swarmed Clinton with swift attacks wielding its twin daggers.
  • The old Clinton would have been overwhelmed in just a few seconds.
  • The only reason why he held his ground was surprisingly because of his spear. Fighting with the Wooden Spear, Clinton didn’t feel like a headless chicken holding a weapon anymore. This time, he fought with technique and balance.
  • He didn’t know where it came from but his combat skills with a spear all of a sudden became more coordinated and standard.
  • ‘Is this the effects of having a class?’
  • At the same time, he thought. ‘Heck! If the Green Goblin is so good with a dagger, does that mean it has a class too and its class is Dagger Master or something?’
  • Clinton almost regretted picking up a fight with a level 4 enemy so early but he stood his ground though, fighting aggressively.
  • And 6 minutes later, he did it.
  • The Green Goblin tripped and that was the opportunity that he had been hoping for, Clinton did not waste it.
  • {You have activated skill: Spear Thrust!}
  • Ptui!
  • His spear thrust straight into the suddenly exposed neck of the Green Goblin and just like he did with the level 3 Green Goblin, Clinton’s impressive strength attribute enabled the wooden spear to stab all the way through.
  • Of course, it was also because of his skill, spear thrust.
  • Blood gurgled out of the Green Goblin’s throat as it struggled desperately.
  • This was the power of his new skill.
  • Clinton stabbed with his spear a second and third time at the Goblin’s throat as it struggled to cling to life and that was enough to do it.
  • The monster finally went limp.
