- The air crackled with tension as I stepped into my father's mansion. I held my breath as I looked around for Papa, expecting him to greet me at the door, but there was no sign of him. Instead, I heard the sound of a raised voice coming from the sitting room. I immediately recognised it as Papa's. I had never heard him spit such fire from his mouth in my entire life.
- I walked down the hallway, my heart racing, and peered around the doorframe. Papa was standing in the middle of the room, his face red with anger. I had expected his anger, but the storm that awaited me was far fiercer than what I had anticipated. Papa's face, usually composed and stern, was contorted with a mixture of fury and disappointment.
