• I sat at my desk, my mind preoccupied with thoughts of Keira. She had been going through a rough time lately with all the threats her stepbrother, Calvin, had sent her way. He tried to scare and intimidate her, but his motive was unclear. His tactics were clearly working, as Keira was always anxious and stressed out, and by God, I hated seeing her like this.
