Chapter 16

  • I woke up breathing heavily, like I had just ended a run. I have a terrible nightmare. Beads of sweat were all over me as well. I can't even remember the nightmare I had, but judging by how I feel now, it should have been terrible. The only thing I could remember was seeing a face, which in the dream I recognized as my mother.
  • However, I guess I lay down in the wrong position or my thoughts have revolved around my dream, probably due to stress or sickness.
  • I slowly open my eyes and squint at the bright sunlight peeking through my window shades. I stretch my arms above my head and feel a satisfying crack in my shoulders. As I sit up and yawn, I notice how warm and cozy I feel in my bed.
