Chapter 57 Wanting Dominic
- I was in the middle of nowhere, with mountains towering on both sides. They loomed over me like silent guardians, but I knew better. They offered no protection, just a reminder that I was trapped. There was no easy way out. But I had to keep moving. I had to escape, no matter how hard it seemed. My breath came out in shallow, anxious puffs as I darted from one tree to the next, carefully avoiding the open spaces where the moonlight would betray me.
