Chapter 8 Shopping With Her

  • A week later, Alicia was discharged. David had offered to take her, but he had an emergency surgery, so she was about to call a taxi when Kevin entered the room.
  • “David told me he can’t take you, let’s go, I’ll take you,” Kevin said, offered Alicia who wasn’t in the mood to argue, so she obediently followed him.
  • The silence on the way home was very uncomfortable until Alicia broke the atmosphere, “Do we still not know who was behind the incident?”
  • “The information was classified, and the cameras were damaged. The person who planned it calculated every last detail.” She added.
  • “Yes, but they failed. That’s why I want you to come live with me in my new villa. You’ll be safer there. I’ll bring you to the company, and if I can’t, the driver will." Kevin answered while focusing on the road.
  • “We still don’t know who the attack was intended for.”
  • “But it’s better to be safe, Alicia.” Kevin’s soft voice made Alicia’s heart tremble. She couldn’t deny that this man was the love of her life.
  • “Alright, I’ll go pick up some things from the apartment.” Again, Alicia didn’t want to argue and obey what Kevin said.
  • “It’s not necessary, I’ll buy you new ones if you want right now.”
  • “Kevin, I don’t want to cause you trouble, and the company has many issues to deal with.”
  • “Don’t worry, everything is in order, let’s go to the mall.”
  • And so, a graceful couple entered the mall. Women envied Alicia, as men often don’t assume the role of shopping with their women. Everything was going well until it came time to choose lingerie; Kevin turned as red as a tomato. Alicia asked him to wait outside, but he adamantly refused.
  • No one noticed that in a secluded spot, a woman was photographing them from the moment they entered until now.
  • Alicia chose everything she needed, from shoes to cream. When she was about to take out her card to pay, Kevin quickly passed a black card. The saleswoman gasped because there were only (five) of those cards in the entire Region A.
  • Once outside, Kevin behaved like a true gentleman and opened the car door for Alicia to get in. And again, an unknown woman captured the moment.
  • The car parked in front of a villa with a perfect view of the sea; it was a very cozy place. Several men guarded the place and when they entered, a butler greeted them.
  • “Take these all things to the bedroom,” Kevin ordered. Minutes later, silence reigned again, but not for long.
  • “How do you like the place? I bought it a week ago. I needed a change of scenery, and the sea brings a certain peace,” Kevin said, which broke the silence between them.
  • “It’s actually perfect,” Alicia said, looking awkward. “I would like to rest. I still have a bit of discomfort.”
  • “Do you want me to call David?”
  • “No, Kevin. It’s not necessary. He already prescribed the medicine I need. I’ll go to sleep.” With no more words to exchange, Alicia left and went in search of the bedroom, which there were many bedrooms.
  • Six to be exact on this second floor, as the villa has five floors.
  • Kevin, on the other hand, didn’t know what he had in his heart, but Alicia made him very nervous. So he retired to the study. Just then, his phone rang. Kevin cursed.
  • “How could you go shopping with Alicia? That’s why you didn’t answer my calls. What were you doing with her at the mall, Kevin?” Kevin frowned, surprised by Anita’s reaction, and he didn’t understand how she found out about everything.
  • “Listen, let me explain.”
  • “A paparazzi took several photos of you, and I’m sure my cousin orchestrated all of this to make me feel bad. Kevin, that hurts me. She’s trying, by all means, to separate me from you.”
  • “Anita, what the hell is wrong with you? First of all, I brought her from the hospital and suggested she live in the villa with me to avoid problems, and I suggested we go shopping.” As Kevin was about to continue, Anita roared again from the other end of the phone.
  • “It’s clear that she took this opportunity to do that.”
  • “Anita, be quiet! She refused; I insisted on her. Besides, she still doesn’t have a phone after the accident.” Kevin tried to explain, but just at that moment, Anita seemed to realize something.
  • He clearly mentioned he was going to buy a phone until she remembered something else.
  • “What’s wrong, Anita? Where is the kind-hearted woman I love?” Kevin lost control and couldn’t help but shout at Anita.
  • Anita did not expect Kevin to respond like that. So she used her pitiful attitude and started to sob. “Kevin, I didn’t expect you to treat me like this. You know about the wickedness of my cousin and her ambition, and I am insecure; I don’t want to lose you.”
  • Kevin, on the other hand, was very angry.
  • “Anita, I’ll be busy. I’ll talk to you later.” Without waiting for the other side to answer, he hung up.
  • Anita got furious and clenched her fist. “Damn you, Alicia! I swear you’ll pay what you did to me. Kevin is my man, and no one will take him away from me.”
  • Villa near the Sea. Alicia was sleeping deeply when she felt the sturdy arms wrapped around her body, so she opened her eyes and saw a man hugging her.
  • “Kevin, what are you doing?”
  • “Nothing. Sleep; be a good girl. I’m tired, too,” Kevin replied. Alicia was surprised, but she didn’t say anything, so the two fell asleep and hugged each other.
  • Around four in the afternoon, the woman stirred in Kevin’s arms. He slowly opened his eyes, feeling disoriented, until he saw a woman in his arms.
  • He unconsciously caressed her cheek, wishing this moment would last. Alicia was surprised by Kevin’s action, but her heart tingled at such a gesture.
  • “How do you feel? Does it hurt a lot?” Kevin asked.
  • Alicia shook her head. “Luckily, I’m fine; there’s no pain, but I’m hungry,” she said in a tone of embarrassment with a flushed cheek.
  • Seeing her red face, Kevin smiled and approached her to the point of feeling her breath close and kissed her. It was a tender kiss at first, but then it became too passionate. Her lips tasted like strawberries. They parted for lack of air.
  • They stared at each other until Alicia closed the distance again and kissed him. This time, Kevin grabbed her by the neck and kissed her as if his life depended on it.
  • “It’s better to go down now,” Alicia said, cutting the atmosphere of sexual tension in the room, as she had noticed that something inside his pants had hardened.
  • “You go down first and wait for me, I’ll take a shower first,” he said, a little embarrassed by his situation. Alicia nodded and left the room.
  • Once downstairs, Alicia was confused. Kevin had specially kissed her, and that wasn’t good. She wanted to keep her composure, but with this attitude, it would not be easy, especially now that they would sleep together.
  • Kevin was coming down the stairs after his shower. He really needed that one after the kisses he shared with Alicia. Then, he saw her sitting in the dining room, lost in her thoughts.
  • “Are you ready? Please sit down, I’ll serve you.” Alicia’s sweet voice was a drug that put him in a too-sweet world.
  • When Kevin sat down, he waited for Alicia to serve him, and she did. It was a moment full of peace that both enjoyed. Alicia fell more in love with Kevin, and he felt warm and happy in his heart.
  • “I have to go out today. I have to attend to a client and may be back late,” Kevin said. Alicia just nodded, but at the last moment, she asked if she could invite Gabriela.
  • Kevin didn’t hesitate for a moment, and in a second, he gave her permission. He knew Alicia didn’t have a phone, and she might feel bored and need someone’s company.
  • Elsewhere in the city, a man and a woman met by chance at the supermarket. David Müller and Gabriela Viera.
  • “Gabi, this is a nice coincidence,” said the doctor with a smile.
  • “David,” the girl greeted him, and they started walking together, realizing they had almost the same tastes.
  • Just then, Gabriela’s cell phone rang, and she noticed an unknown number. When she answered, she realized it was her friend inviting her to go to the villa to hang out with her.
  • Gabriela’s eyes lit up as she saw the news that Alicia and Kevin went shopping. When Alicia gave her the address, Gabriela felt confused, but she didn’t say anything. It was only after hanging up that she asked David if he knew Kevin’s Villa by the sea.
  • “Yes, I know it. I bought it recently, and I’ll take you there so you can feel safer.”
  • Gabriela nodded, understanding that Alicia’s safety was important to the big Boss.
  • “Let me take you to your apartment, and then I’ll drop you off at the villa before my shift.” Gabriela was about to say that she didn’t want to bother, but she remembered David’s words in the hospital and accepted the invitation.
  • At Villa by the Sea, Kevin was getting ready for his meeting when he felt the soft hands on his back, followed by Alicia’s voice.
  • “Let me help you with this,” she said, pointing to his tie. Kevin’s heart trembled at such a simple gesture.
  • Minutes later, blue and green eyes were locked intensely until Kevin closed the distance and passionately kissed Alicia’s lips, who then wrapped her arms around his neck.
