Chapter 1 Birthday

• The wind blew gently, causing the woman's dress to lift slightly. She had a sad smile on her face as she celebrated another year of life. Ever since the death of her parents, everything had changed. That accident had so many contradictions.
• If it hadn't been for that tragic event, maybe this wouldn't be her fate. She was now married to a man who didn't even say good morning to her, a man who only sought her out for sex, even though they were legally married. In that marriage, there was hatred, contempt, humiliation, a lot of sex during the first month, but no love.
• A marriage of convenience between the most powerful businessman in Region A, Kevin DuPont, and the General Executive Alicia Bonet, was the salvation of the entire DuPont lineage.
• And as if summoned by the devil herself, in the distance, Kevin's vehicle could be seen approaching the house.
• As the doors opened, the sculptural figure of the man came into view, surrounded by his bodyguards. But as expected, he was not alone.

• Kevin sighed heavily, but did not protest. He knew it was true, Alicia and Anita would be celebrating their birthdays on the same date "When you come back from your party, we will once again try to conceive my heir." • "Don't be exaggerating," but no one could deny that Mrs. DuPont was the most beautiful woman, one could say. But the woman's heart felt cold, while her husband was celebrating his birthday with his lover.
• The doors of the ballroom were opened at that moment, surprising Alicia as she saw who was standing at the door.
