Chapter 11 You're Great at Acting

  • After finishing their pasta, Casper still hadn't left the house. He sat on the couch with his eyes shut as if feeling well.
  • Rhea still had dirt on her body, and she was sweating from the fever. She felt extremely uncomfortable being so dirty, but she dared not take a cold shower.
  • It wasn't that she was afraid of getting sick, but she was afraid of causing trouble for others if her condition got worse.
  • Rhea slowly walked over to Casper and asked softly, "Casper, can you... teach me how to turn on the hot water?"
  • Casper wasn't sleeping, but he leaned against the couch with his eyes closed, showing no intention of acknowledging her.
  • Rhea couldn't continue speaking. She was usually lively and cheerful, but this was the first time she had been alone with a man in so many years, so she was naturally quite awkward.
  • Since he ignored her, she quietly went back to her room.
  • In the bathroom, Rhea called Wendy to ask for help while filling the bathtub with water.
  • Her face turned red as she watched cold water filling the tub. She felt foolish for not being able to do such a simple task and for having to trouble Wendy to come over.
  • While Rhea was waiting for Wendy, Casper suddenly walked into her room a little later.
  • Upon seeing her standing in the bathroom, he walked straight toward her without any hesitation.
  • Casper had a restless and irritable look, as if he hadn't had enough sleep. He came to Rhea's room to find out why he could calm down after seeing her plant last night, but when he entered the bathroom and saw the cold water in the bathtub, his gaze instantly turned icy.
  • He sneered. "Hah. You deliberately want to get sick by taking a cold shower and pretending to be pitiful in front of me? You're great at acting."
  • Rhea wasn't afraid of getting beaten, but she couldn't stand being wrongly accused. Pouting her lips, she huffed, "I didn't! I just don't know how to turn on the hot water."
  • Before she could finish her sentence, Casper turned on the cold shower directly, letting the icy water pour down on her.
  • Rhea didn't react in time. She raised her hand to shield her eyes and shouted, "What are you doing, Casper?!"
  • At this moment, he looked like a cold-blooded snake as he hissed, "Don't you like taking cold showers? I'll let you have your fill."
  • The cold water soaked her clothes, making her extremely uncomfortable.
  • Casper seemed like a wicked demon king, but Rhea wasn't just a pushover.
  • She rushed toward Casper, wanting to snatch the showerhead from his hand. Sadly, he was too tall for her to reach, so she simply gave him a hard push and knocked him down.
  • Behind Casper was a bathtub filled with cold water, and both of them fell into it with a loud splash.
  • Rhea was furious, but she didn't resort to violence. It wasn't because she couldn't win a fight, but because she remembered how Casper took care of her when she was sick yesterday. She appreciated those gestures.
  • Now, with Casper pinning her down into the cold water and looking at her with a mocking gaze, she felt her anger burn. Overwhelmed with rage, she grabbed hold of him and bit his shoulder.
  • This man was truly infuriating.
  • Just then, Wendy knocked on the door and entered the bathroom.
  • She was shocked by the scene before her.
  • In her impression, Casper had never been in such a disheveled state since he was a teenager.
  • When Casper wanted to deal with someone, he usually employed ruthless methods, even to the point where the other person had no chance to fight back.
  • Why would he personally pin someone down in a bathtub, looking so disheveled?
  • Seeing the two of them looking over, Wendy paused before speaking, "Mr. Frost, I came to teach Miss Wood how to run hot water."
  • Rhea was already unwell, and now she was being pinned into the water by Casper. Her body alternated between feeling cold and hot, and she felt deeply wronged.
  • Her voice carried steam as she expressed her grievances, "Casper, this is my first time living with someone else. I want to take good care of you and treat you well. If there's anything I've done wrong, please let me know. Can you please not do this to me..."
