• The detective eyed the man sitting across the table in some trepidation. He had heard all about Lucien Delano, ruthless business magnate and billionaire to the world, Mob Boss and murderer too, as he was known in the underworld circles. A well-known womanizer, who was now asking him to find a woman who had dared to walk out on him.
• The detective felt sorry for any misguided woman who would be stupid enough to cross swords with the dangerous man in front of him. He silently predicted gloomily, that she would end up in a body bag or with a slit throat, his shoulders sinking as he huddled in front of the cold gaze of the man in front of him.
• Lucien tossed a photograph across the table: That's a picture of her, he said in a gruff voice.
