Chapter 38 Regret

• She was busy cooking food in the kitchen. Conrad was cleaning up the truck. It rained early in the morning and the grounds are muddy. Still, they went out to buy supplies. In the last two days, she asked him to teach her how to drive. It was one thing they’ve been busy with, occupying their time and attention. She was nervous at first, but as she got the hang of it, she realized it’s quite easy. She navigated the roads just fine, with no incident.
• “It’s different in crowded cities where people can walk on the main roads to cross. That’s when you need to be very observant and careful. I prefer driving at night because there are less vehicles and I can go with maximum speed. With our vision, darkness isn’t much of a concern.”
• She agreed with his sentiment. She practiced for hours until she felt more confident. She enjoyed the experience of learning how to drive.
