I had been sitting in my office for hours, the day seemed to be dragging on, and I didn't think I could wait until dinner time to see Bailey. She had been on my mind since the moment I had woken up… My eyes were so frequently drifting to the clock to monitor the time, but it seemed to be dragging even further.
