Chapter 18 Looking at Your Chest
- "My dear wife, Tyra, it's me, really. You don't need to test me anymore."
- Liam felt a bit helpless.
- His Nymph wife was overly cautious.
- "In the dream, what were the last words I said to you?" Tyra asked, her voice trembling slightly as she fought to keep her emotions in check.
- "You said, ‘Honey, it's okay. Even lasting a minute is impressive,'" Liam said, looking intently at her. "Wife, I know it sounds strange, but it really is me ... hmm ... "
- Before he could finish, her warm, soft lips silenced him.
- Tyra threw herself into Liam's arms, her passion wild and overwhelming.
- Liam hugged her tightly, as if he wanted to fuse her with his body.
- Neither could control the emotions surging within them, and their movements grew increasingly intense.
- This was no simple reunion—it was the joy of finding something once lost.
- Rip—the sound of fabric tearing filled the air.
- "Urghh!"
- Liam groaned as Tyra bit his lip.
- "Honey, not now."
- She pulled away, her beautiful face flushed crimson.
- Her rapid breathing caused her torn robe to expose patches of her pale, flawless skin.
- "I can't waste my constitution so soon," Tyra said, taking a deep breath, trying to suppress the heat stirring within her.
- Each of Liam's nine Nymph partners possessed a unique constitution. Tyra's was the Thunderbound Soulform, while Liam's was the even rarer Ethereal Soulform. Their mystic union could produce extraordinary effects, especially the first time—it could help them break through their limits.
- "Yeah, you're right. We need to wait until we're at least in the Foundation Phase."
- The first major milestone in spiritual cultivation was the Foundation Phase.
- "Honey, the spiritual energy in this world is so thin. Even reaching the Foundation Phase through normal training would be incredibly difficult," Tyra said, gazing at Liam with tenderness.
- "I don't understand why we spent a thousand years cultivating in that dream, but since everything seems real, it means the Divine Trial is probably real too. We need to be prepared for that."
- "There's no rush, Love. We likely have plenty of time. For now, see if you can contact the other eight. I'll work on figuring out a better training method," Liam reassured her, not particularly worried.
- Even if the Divine Trial were real, it wouldn't be arriving anytime soon.
- "Alright, let's keep our relationship a secret for now."
- Tyra nodded gently. "Honey, you go ahead. I'll make the necessary changes, and then I need to go talk to Petra about our business partnership."
- Liam nodded but couldn't resist pulling her into his arms again. He offered, "Let me help you change, my dear."
- A few minutes later, Liam finally left the room, forcing himself to walk away before he lost control of himself completely.
- Instead of heading back to the living room, he stepped outside to the garden. Closing his eyes for a moment, he attuned himself to his surroundings.
- Then, opening them again, he exhaled softly.
- "It's all real," Liam murmured, his voice filled with satisfaction. "This is great. I like this world."
- The sound of footsteps behind him broke the quiet.
- Turning slowly, Liam saw Crystal walking toward him.
- With Tyra gone, Crystal was now the most striking chick in River City.
- Naturally, Liam's gaze was immediately drawn to her ample chest.
- Wow. It's really big, he thought. Yeah, I've touched it before.
- "What are you staring at?" Crystal snapped, clearly irritated.
- The pervert had been staring at her like that all evening.
- "Oh, just your chest," Liam admitted casually.
- "You!"
- Crystal was momentarily at a loss for words, then her anger flared. "Liam, you're not patient anymore. If you keep acting like a pervert, I swear I'll beat you up!"
- "Go ahead. I believe you," Liam said, unfazed. "But you can't beat me."
- Crystal fumed. This guy was unbelievable! Shameless! She had seen his strength firsthand at the Mallins. Though she herself practiced boxing, she knew she stood no chance against Liam.
- "Dr. Hampton, there's something wrong with your chest," Liam said, suddenly serious. "There's something inside it. If you don't believe me, go to the hospital and get it checked. They'll likely misdiagnose you with breast cancer. The doctors will suggest you get it removed.
- "But don't let them cut it off. Come see me instead.
- "Don't worry, I'm only saying this to help your future boyfriend out. It'd be a real shame to lose something so wonderful."
- "Shut up!" Crystal's face flushed with anger. "I don't believe your nonsense!"
- "Want to bet?" Liam shrugged. "You know, I'm really into gambling lately. I never lose."
- "I don't gamble!"
- With a deadly glare, Crystal turned her heel and walked away.
- She couldn't stand the way Liam was staring at her.
- But she'd barely taken two steps when a sharp, stabbing pain pierced her chest.
- "Urgh!" Crystal gasped, clutching her chest in agony. Her body swayed, and in the next moment, she lost her balance, collapsing to the ground.
