Chapter 1 A Thousand-Year Dream

  • "Honey, I don't think I can keep going!"
  • "Just hold on a little longer."
  • "I'm sorry, darling."
  • Liam White collapsed, utterly drained.
  • "It's okay, honey; even a minute is impressive."
  • Suddenly, Liam shot up, his head hitting something soft and unusually bouncy.
  • "Ouch!"
  • A painful yelp followed.
  • Liam opened his eyes and saw someone falling backward. Instinctively, he reached out and caught that person.
  • His hand grabbed onto something—something big, soft.
  • As his vision cleared, he found himself staring at a stunningly beautiful face.
  • "Darling?" Liam muttered, confused. Was he still dreaming?
  • He had just awoken from a very long, very strange dream.
  • In it, he had become the most powerful cultivator in Etheria, mastering a technique known as the Soulcraft. After thousands of years of cultivation, he had many partners, including the famed Nine Nymphs of Etheria.
  • However, he only survived a minute before falling under the greatest Divine Trial in history. His soul obliterated.
  • Before Liam could fully grasp what was happening, the room around him erupted into chaos. A group of doctors and nurses stood there, completely shocked.
  • The man who had been in a coma for three years had suddenly woken up!
  • What was the first thing he did upon waking up? He groped the infamous 'Ice Queen' herself—Dr. Crystal Hampton.
  • She was renowned for her beauty, sharp mind, and, well, her curves, which even her white coat couldn't hide. In fact, many eyes were often drawn to her figure.
  • It appeared that even a man in a coma had woken up due to her influence.
  • "Let go!"
  • A voice filled with fury cut through Liam's daze.
  • This wasn't the wife from his dream.
  • Just as he was about to let go, something felt off. He hesitated for a moment and gave another curious squeeze.
  • "Something's not right! You've got something in there. Wait, could this be ... ?"
  • Before Liam could finish his thought, a solid punch sent him flying back onto the bed.
  • "Pervert! I'll kill you!" Crystal was livid.
  • "Dr. Hampton! Please don't do anything rash!"
  • Two nurses rushed in and hurriedly held her back. "He's a patient! He just woke up!"
  • "Yeah, Dr. Hampton, his mind might still be foggy after being asleep for three years!"
  • "Please calm down."
  • Crystal's chest heaved with anger, drawing more attention to her ample chest. She was clearly trying to control her temper.
  • "Notify his family!" she ordered, storming out of the room.
  • "Hey, for the record, there really is something off with her chest. She might be misdiagnosed with breast cancer," Liam said, sitting up with an innocent look on his face.
  • The people left in the room were speechless. This vegetable had just gotten away with groping a famous doctor and still had the nerve to talk like that? Moreover, was he trying to impersonate a doctor in the hospital?
  • "Mr. White, now that you're awake, please get some rest. We'll notify your girlfriend right away," one of the nurses said politely as the rest of the medical team that was in the middle of their round quickly left.
  • "Girlfriend? When did I ever have one?"
  • Liam rubbed his head, confused. His mind was a mess, filled with a flood of new memories—medical knowledge, ethereal sorcery, alchemy, artifact crafting ...
  • All the things he had learned during his thousand-year dream of spiritual cultivation. And now they were still crystal clear in his mind.
  • Just now, he realized that it was precisely this knowledge that had led him to notice something wrong with the doctor's chest earlier.
  • Could it be that everything he experienced in the dream was real?
  • "No way, I need to try this out," Liam muttered to himself.
  • Sitting cross-legged, he closed his eyes and began to practice the Soulcraft technique, a method he had repeated countless times in his dream.
  • In the next second, he felt a familiar energy flowing through him from all directions.
  • Liam's heart raced with excitement. This was spiritual energy!
  • The Soulcraft technique was real!
  • Even though the energy here was much thinner than in Etheria, it was still enough for him to cultivate.
  • Guiding the spiritual energy through his body, he quickly healed the aches and stiffness that had built up over time.
  • Time flowed quietly until the sound of high heels clicking on the floor echoed through the room.
  • Liam opened his eyes to see a gorgeous woman walking in, dressed in a pencil skirt and blouse. Her face was as beautiful as Crystal's, though her figure wasn't as curvaceous. However, it was perfectly proportioned.
  • "You ... you're really awake?"
  • That beauty stared at Liam in shock.
  • Her expression wasn't one of joy but rather shock.
  • Before Liam could reply, a nurse stepped into the room.
  • The woman's expression changed immediately. In the next second, she threw herself onto Liam's bed, clutching him tightly.
  • "Oh, honey! You're finally awake! This is amazing! I thought I'd lost you forever!"
  • Her voice wavered, almost as if she were on the verge of tears.
  • Caught off guard, Liam found himself lying flat on his back again.
  • Seeing this, the nurse quietly stepped out and closed the door behind her.
  • "Alright, the nurse is gone. You can drop the act now," Liam finally spoke up. "Who are you, really?
  • "And by the way, your acting could use some work. Your crying was a bit over the top."
