• They were almost to the kitchen door when Cora came down the stairs. “Hi.” She called out quietly. Glancing at Dade, she bit her lip and grinned then walked past him into the kitchen.
• Looking down at the pants she’d put on, he saw the black nylons still covering her feet. He grinned and followed her into the kitchen. She moved quickly over to the counter as Kasey and Chris came in behind them.
• He saw her grab the black lace from beside the sink and stuff it in her pocket. He had to drop his head down to hide the smile, and try not to laugh.
