• Cora flopped down on the couch and sighed as Dade came into the room. “Am I ungrateful to be relieved they all finally went home?”
• Dade grinned and sat down, setting the screwdriver across his lap. “Nope. I’ll also get out of your face in a moment to leave you in exhausted peace, just as soon as I find the energy to stand.”
• She laughed. “I can’t even tell you how much I appreciate everything you’ve done today, Dade.” She leaned forward. “I have just enough energy left to make a nice cup of tea, would you like one? I’ll make it energizing, so you don’t have to crawl home.”
