• Even though I believed it was in Agnes's safe hands, I had commanded Jasmine to taste the meal she had brought because I was finding it hard to trust her. She seems to be reformed now, but as my father’s murderer’s daughter, I can’t afford to let my guard down around her. She had always stood up for her loved ones even in the face of death and sometimes, I wondered if she might be telling the truth about her father not being responsible for my father’s death. I had to believe otherwise as my findings narrowed down to Salvatore.
• I munched angrily at the meal as Fiona barged in and began to rant and I couldn’t help, but curse that bastard, Sebastian. He should be grateful my father was kind enough to let him have some access to his properties because I won’t hesitate to scrap and disown him the moment he calls me a bastard as his father.
