Chapter 3 Aq

• Valen's POV
• As I stood in front of the mirror, I was thinking of her innocent face in my head. I thought to myself, ”maybe she doesn’t deserve to be my slave I should consider letting her go.”
• “After all, I am not a bad wolf, it is the work of the spell.”
• “Yes, I know.. for years now, I have not sensed matebond.” And the way I feel with her is just…”
• I sighed.
• But then the desire came up again, burning like a fire, and I justified my actions with the amount of patience I’ve had since she was born.
• “She can go to hell for all I care. After all, she had dared to reject me before our entire pack, now she claims that I am her mate. She wants to be bound to me as my Luna, forever", I bragged as I laughed wickedly.
• "Who does she think she is? How dare she even think that she could reject me and now bring up a new tale?", I continued in an angry tone, yelling at one of my guards.
• "Poor girl! I've had my eyes on her since she was a little girl. She cannot escape me. I knew the time will come when she'll just be her to satisfy my lust. Now is the time , Thalia, I have conquered you like I conquer every challenge.”
• I said to myself as I stood in front of a tall mirror and brushed my hair with my fingers.
• As the night got darker, I got more excited because it meant our mating time was fast approaching. I became restless and thought to check in on her sooner than usual before going to sleep.
• As I put on my cloak to step out, I saw the guards who I mounted in her door running towards me.
• "What happened?", I demanded in anger, my voice made the whole building shake.
• "We were drugged. She has escaped", I couldn't believe the response I heard.
• "Escaped?" I asked in fury. The thought angered me.
• "You incompetent fools! When have you become this weak?" , I continued.
• "If I don't find Thalia, I promise you, you'll be dead. Find her at once!"
• "Thalia is stubborn but I am more determined", I said under my breath.
• "You two, join them! Bring her back to me", I shouted at the other guards.
• I stood panting in anger as I watched them leave.
• " Thalia, I decide your fate. You'll be at my service, nothing else. No more, No less.", I said as I managed to sit.
• Thalia's POV
• I knew Valen will send his men to come for me so I tried to run as fast as I could. Suddenly, I heard footsteps behind me.
• "Thalia!!", an angry voice shouted at me as they ran towards me.
• "Oh No", I said lowly. "How did they find me?", I increased my speed even more but the faster I ran, the closer they seemed to get to me.
• I switched to my wolf form but I knew my wolf couldn't outrun these angry guards so I decided to hide at Black hills after taking a turn far away from Silvertail territory. So I hid behind a large tree , hoping they would not take the same turn.
• " Your scent. They are tracing your scent", my wolf whispered so I quickly transformed to my human form but it seemed the scent was strong enough even after the transformation. I bent by the tree wondering what to do. Do I just give up on this taste of freedom? Am I going back to bondage? What is the way out?
• I shut my eyes as I took in a deep breath awaiting my fate.
• Tyrus' POV
• I took a stroll to the woods to reflect on some things. My father Thorne said so many things about me leaving Silvertail pack so I can learn new things that can be beneficial to me to take over Alpha Valen. So I stayed outside Silvertail for a while. Black hills seemed rather unusual so I decided to keep walking until I found was made it off. As I drew closer to the largest tree in the woods , I began to sense a female's heartbeat. I shut my eyes just to be sure I was picking the right signals not just because I wished I had a woman. The urge has been so strong lately.
• I could still hear the heartbeat, this time, even louder. I stepped closer and this time, I could smell her. I tracked her scent and lo, it was a Thalia. I wanted to shout and asked what she was doing there but she covered her mouth, a gesture that meant I shouldn’t speak. I wondered what was happening, then I raised my head and saw some angry werewolves approaching. I quickly sensed what was going on and pulled my coat to cover her.
• "Don't make a sound and hold your breath for a while", I whispered to her as I left to watch what was going to happen from a distance.
• Thalia's POV
• I tried to hold my breath as they came closer. It was difficult to hold it for long but I had to fight. I would rather die of this than die in Valen's hands.
• I could hear one of the guards coming close to me and sniffing the ground. I froze in fear but he was interrupted
• "Stop . I don't think she's here. I can't smell her around".
• "Where do we find her then?"
• "I think we took the wrong turn, we should try the other way."
• They were so close to me that I could hear their conversations very clearly.
• They turned and ran back in a hurry to continue their search. I took in a deep breath and exhaled. I couldn't believe I just escaped Valen's guards . As I stood up, holding unto the coat tightly, my salvation. My mind flashed back on the event that just happened and I wondered what Tyrus was doing there and why he helped me and disappeared. Tyrus hated me just as much as his father did and joined in to sell me .
• "Why are you here? Ain’t you supposed to be with the Alpha?", I suddenly heard his voice behind me, interrupting my thoughts.
• “Thalia, don’t tell me you escaped.” I didn’t say a word. My heart kept pounding really fast as I imagined the worst that could happen.
• He may take me back to Alpha Valen so I moved backwards a little away from him to feel more comfortable and then I spoke.
• “I’m sorry, I should not be here, I’ll be on my way back now “
• “You haven’t answered by question yet”, he kept l rooking into my eyes as though to search my soul.
• “I escaped. I don’t know where I’m going but I want to stay really far away from Valen.”
• “Why would you do such a thing? What if you fell into the hands of some rogue wolves? What were you thinking?” he asked angrily.
• “I would rather die in the hands of the rogue wolves that In Valen’s hand under so much torment and torture.” I explained.
• “Thanks for your help.”, I continued, handing his coat over to him.
• “So where are you headed now?”, he asked with sincere concern
• “I’ll keep walking until I find a place I can call home,” I responded.
• “I know you are trying to run away. It’s fine , I won’t take you back to Valen. Come with me to the pack where I stay. You’ll be welcomed there and it’s also refreshing, you’ll get all the time you need to think of the fresh start you want.”
• “Tyrus really? Thank you but I don’t think I want to. This is freedom for me, I can’t move into bondage again “, I replied , surprised at Tyrus’ sudden kind gesture.
• “How do you mean? You don’t want to be in a pack? You want to be a lone wolf? You are an omega, you are not as strong alone, you know that. Moreover, it's not safe out here. What if those wolves come again to hurt you?” he asked with sincere concern.
• “Ermmm…. I’ll be fine”, I stammered.
• “No, you won’t. Come with me, I’ll ensure your safety.”, he said this and stretched his hand, calling unto me to put mine on his.
• I raised my head, looked into his eyes and my heart sank, they were just too beautiful to behold but yet I couldn’t trust him. I placed my shivering hands on his , agreeing to go with him. If he promises safety, then I’ll be untouchable by Valen. But I wasn’t going to let my guards down, I’m going to watch this Tyrus’ every move. He has always wanted me dead, this switch is surprising.
• “In case you were wondering, I have learnt a lot here and I’ve come to understand so many things. There’s no need to be wicked to you ”, he said calling me out of my thought.
• Without a word, I nodded wondering what my life will be after now.
• As we walked, I noticed Tyrus has held my hand for a while. I tried to gently pull my hand out, but he turned to look at me and held unto them firmly. I noticed my wolf wasn’t so excited . She was gloomy and angry.
• “It’s just for a short time, I promise,” I said to her.
• “I am not letting go, Thalia.” Tyrus said, sounding a bit possessive.
• “ Why? What do you mean? You just met me apart from that, I am right beside you. You think I’ll try to run away?”, I asked.
• “I am just making sure you don’t.” He replied.
• I was confused, “So what are you now? My personal guard? I told you I didn’t want another bondage. If this is your plan, then just let me go already.”
• “Come on, Thalia. Don’t you want to have a personal guard?” he asked in a teasing way.
• I looked at him, this time the gaze lasted longer, I took a deep breath and calmed myself down.
• “I don’t want a personal guard. I cannot afford it, thank you.”, I managed to say calmly and smiled.
• “Oh, so you smile, I never knew and you have such a beautiful smile.”, he said.
• Oh dear! He was now making me shy and my head remained bowed.
• “Okay. I was just joking,” he continued.
• “Joking about?” I asked in surprise.
• “No, no, not about you having a beautiful smile. You have a beautiful smile, of course.”, he laughed. I had to shake myself a bit and laugh too. Tyrus seemed to be a nice wolf but my wolf wasn’t just accepting him.
• “I was referring to the reason I’m holding unto you.”, he sounded more serious. “My pack is not used to having outsiders. Your presence may frighten them and they may want to defend themselves so I holding your hands is a sign that we are together and you are here for peace.
• “Wow, you must have a really small pack then, for them to be this afraid.” I said.
• “Well, small is relative,” He replied.
• “You mean this place has always existed?” I asked as we got in.
• “Yes, it has”, Tyrus’s face glowed as he spoke.
• “So, you are taking me to the alpha now?”
• “You’ve met him already.” He replied.
• My eyes opened in amazement.
• “You are the Alpha?”, I asked. This alpha seemed so different from the Alpha of El-Demone, a strong, powerful leader who is never on his own without his guards. His aura alone would tell you he is Alpha.
• Tyrus seemed humble, calm and nice even though he looked huge and powerful and there was something off about how he acted. Maybe it’s just me unwilling to trust anyone.
• “I’m sorry if I disrespected you in anyway, Alpha Tyrus. You didn’t tell me you were Alpha. Why are you so simple?” I kept looking at him in amazement.
• “It’s alright”, he laughed. “I didn’t and I choose to be this way. I’m still the same Tyrus you met few minutes ago so please, feel free.”
• “I’m grateful. Thank you.” I said still wondering what kind of an Alpha he was.
• “This will be your new home.”, he said, pointing a large place that was just in front of us. “I’ll make sure you are well taken care of. Please, excuse me.”
• Tyrus moved ahead of me to talk to a nice looking, young wolf just like him only that he was taller and broader. He looked at me at intervals while they had their conversations. Other werewolves around gave me the same stare as I stood there waiting for Tyrus. Soon enough, he was done, and he came back to me.
• “Meet Fenrir,” he said, pointing to the wolf that stood beside him.
• “He’s my beta and right hand man. I may not be always available but he’ll make sure you have no need. So I have put you under his care.” He said and I gave a quick smile.
• “Fenrir, this is Thalia, a young wolf in need of comfort. Please make sure she needs nothing. I told you all about it already.”
• “Thalia, You are welcome.” Fenrir said. The way he looked at me made me so uncomfortable. I could see lust in his eyes.
• “Alright, I’ll take you to the care givers. You’ll meet other young werewolves like you in there. You’ll be fine and you can come to me or Fenrir anytime you want to.”
• “Thank you”, I said feeling awkward as I moved closer.
