• Dorasea warriors were floating down the Whispering River, they listened to the surroundings. Waiting for any signs that vampires were lurking in the woods. Hearing the chattering of the birds of woodland creatures indicated to them that there were no immediate threats.
• During the night they would have to wrap their cloaks around them tightly, combating the nip of the cold air. Unable to light a fire, they huddled closely on the boat, sharing each other's body heat.
