Chapter 1

  • Summary of Beta Brother's of Unnash
  • Beads of sweat rolled down Finja's face, her heart was pounding in her chest as she lay in bed. “I have to warn them! Reacher is Balvalur. Balvalur is a vampire! He's the one that is behind everything that is going on!” Finja rolled over to her side, glancing around her room. There were no sounds in her new home located in the kingdom of Unnash. Throwing the sheets off of her body she slowly placed her feet on the floor ready to begin her day.
  • In the Erolzwald castle servants moved around the halls, “Did you hear?” They would whisper once there were no guards around to hear them chattering. The citizens launch into the conversation with, “The Alpha King is dead!” In less than a month, rumours spread all over the Western lands of Dorhelhound, speaking of the events that occurred at Erolzwald. Alpha King Coldfurgus, as well as his brother Alpha Renrit of Galata, along with their allies had been confirmed dead, after the fight that began at the castle leading into the streets of Erolzwald. Devoiding several families without a home, destroyed by the fires that had been set by Coldfurgus loyalists.
  • Killed in action, the alpha’s who supported their once beloved Alpha King had been cremated, their ashes in unmarked urns. Taken to the crypt of the blacklisted.
  • Finja Longarm was now their new supreme ruler. “Who is Finja Longarm and where did she come from?” The public whispered. Not knowing who the female was. Only those who worked in the castle knew of the woman whose name was spoken.
  • Unaccounted for, Alpha Reacher of Azgar was presumed alive and still on the run. Each time his name was spoken and followed up, his footprint would disappear just as quickly. Alpha Reacher was wanted dead or alive, as he was to stand trial for treason against the Dorhelhound kingdoms. He and Alpha Lenvan were the last two standing alphas, who worked with Coldfurgus. Those who disagreed with the Alpha King's ruling were to be taken down.
  • Nearly escaping prosecution, Alpha Lenvan of Unzarar, who had been captured trying to escape the Western lands at Whispering Port. It had been assumed that Alpha Lenvan had desired to travel across the Phousa and Amas Seas to get to the Eastern lands. With his capture, he remained in the dungeons of Erolswald. His upcoming trial had been paused to complete a thorough investigation of his involvement in the plot to aid deceased Alpha King Coldfurgus in the attempt to have supreme leadership over Dorhelhound.
  • The nobles of Erolzwald, who had close ties to deceased Alpha King Coldfurgus, screamed for justice, claiming the attack was unpardonable. Assembling together, they created convictions that accused and implied that Finja Longarm was the cause of the chaos of Erolzwald. And she should be brought in for a trial, to be held accountable for her actions that she took part in. Claiming she was the reason the riot had begun. Stating that if she had followed the deceased Alpha King Coldfurgus’s proposal to marry him on the next full moon, the brawl would have never happened.
  • Unbeknown to the noble families, Alpha Zevar and his family were aware of what led to the disaster at Erolzwald. The chaos in the streets was not of Finja’s doing, the death of Alpha King Coldfurgus was. A challenge that Finja initiated by her and accepted by the Alpha King.
  • The noble's demands had landed on death's ears! In the turn of events, Alpha Zevar conducted an open investigation on those who dared to throw a stone at a glass building. With a heavy examination, it was discovered that the majority of the nobles who were squawking had played a pivotal role in the financial collapse of Erolswald. Not bothering to conceal all evidence that linked them to the deceased Alpha King Coldfurgus. Holarel Sparkfall leaked sensitive information that gave proof of every noble family's involvement. For the minor role, Mrs. Sparkfall and her family played in Coldfurgus’s scheme; they had received a pardon.
  • Countless noble families were part of the slaughter of several manual workers, that stood in the way of Coldfurgus having ultimate power and control of all Dorhelhound. With this evidence, the families were arrested, and placed in the dungeons, awaiting their trial date. The charges were treason, arson and the attempt of, or the of murder Erolzwald citizens.
  • Behind the Erolzwald castle's closed doors, it had been agreed that as Alpha Zevar had been making plans to overthrow Alpha King Coldfurgus, during the same time, Coldfurgus was making plans of his own to kill all leaders and alpha’s of Dorhelhound, that opposed his ruling. It had been dumb luck that Coldfurgus had pulled Finja into the situation, by making a demand that she was unwilling to partake in. If Coldfurgus had not made his demands openly, it was presumed, Finja Longarm would have had no involvement in the fighting.
  • Like so many, each family was harmed in some way, Finja’s family was no different. They lost their beloved father in the battle of Alphas. It was poor timing, but the Longarm family wished to take Rimvan Longarm to his final resting spot, to Unnash where their bloodline originated from.
  • Before the departure of Erolzwald to Unnash, Alpha Zevar and Finja Longarm had come to an understanding of the situation that they both were in. Tradition stated that she was to be crowned the next Alpha Queen of Dorhelhound. Until the ceremony, Alpha Zevar would be considered acting as Alpha King, in Finja’s absence, giving him the legal right to rule in her name. This allowed the Longarm family the right to bereavement and to place their loved one to rest.
  • Things were hard for the Erolzwald citizens, picking up the pieces of what they used to have. What they did not know was what was to come to their beloved capital.
  • In the shadows of the ruble, unregistered vampires lurked around, hunting for their next victim. Oblivious to the danger that awaits the people, the vampires wait for the order to attack and take over one of the major kingdoms of Dorhelhound.
