• Mirabelle's POV
• My gaze scans the room, my brain still unable to comprehend what my eyes are seeing. Every rumor about Takishini Pack seems like a fairytale compared to what is in front of me. Even with my head pounding, I can still discern all that's not right here. I've had forty-eight hours since we were captured, forty eight hours of contemplating why I didn't drag Camilla out of this territory when I had the chance.
• Alpha Hayden seems to have a liking for Camilla, he's been in and out of the room just to stare at her and distress her. When I won't get up after being captured, Camilla was across the room, watching me with teary eyes. However, the tears didn't fall, not even when the woman that has been coming here to bring us food slapped her a few times. The only reaction she has given was to me, Alpha Hayden smacked me across the face yesterday because I couldn't keep my smartass remarks to myself. Only then did Camilla make a sound, flashing me an unapologetic look like she has been since we got here. She blames herself for our situation but honestly, I blame Adrian for everything. It's all his fault, it is his fault I had to watch my best friend get tortured. Camilla didn't make a sound through it all, she can't seem to care about whatever Alpha Hayden or anyone does to her.
