Chapter 9 The Master's Bedroom

• I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
• I had never seen a place grander than Rutherford Manor.
• It was almost midnight when the carriage arrived at the main entrance. The whole area was cold, and I could only hear the sound of the crickets that disturbed the tranquil silence of the night. I was humiliated that the Alpha didn’t want the people to know that I had already arrived at the manor, and all that came to greet me were the maidservants who kept on ogling at me from head to foot.
