• My body shivered when the chilly wind blew against my skin. A whimper escaped my trembling lips when his huge hands pulled me toward him. I let out a sigh of relief as I closed my eyes, leaning my head on his chest. He could keep his mouth shut for as long as he wanted but I already knew the answer.
• “I know it’s you,” I bitterly said, pursing my lips. I hated myself for being foolish again, but what could I do? He must have realized something when he found me for the first time… But he pretended not to know since I was a human. He loathed the idea of having a human mate that he had to go out every night to find his ‘perfect mate’.
