- “Here. Take this gift instead,” Jack said, pulling away from the kiss. He reached for his pocket and pulled out a necklace—simple yet elegant, with a small pendant shaped like a red crescent moon. His hands slightly trembled as he handed it to me. “I wanted you to have it,” Jack mumbled, his eyes searching for my reaction.
