• The banquet ended the moment Jack dragged me to the bedroom from the garden. Nobody questioned his action that night, he was the Alpha after all. Most of the guests also left afterward, but there were some who stayed in the mansion.
• Jack didn’t seem to mind them, but it was only getting harder for me each day with people in the hallway, whispering behind my back about my origin and relationship with the alpha king. The rumors were unbearable, so I confined myself to the bedroom, eating my meals alone.
