Chapter 2 Insolent

• The staff stays examining Mia, while I change my wet clothes.
• Upon returning to the room where they have placed us, the other mother who is taking care of her young son continues to look at me with hatred and I don't understand what her problem is, after all, I don't know her.
• "What's your name?"
• "Zoe."
• "Zoe, the baby, will be fine. We must wait for the results of the tests that are being done and then you can take her home. Is that okay?"
• "Yes, thank you, nurse..."
• "Call me Clarisa, look for me if you need help."
• "Thank you very much, Mrs. Clarisa."
• "I'll be back later."
• I nod instead of responding. Clarisa exudes security and maternal love. She seems like a sweet and compassionate woman.
• She appears to be young, but by the way she treats me, it seems like she must be around thirty"five to forty years old."
• After everyone left the room, I approach the little one I had named Mia. She is sleeping peacefully, wrap in thermal blankets to warm her body.
• I reach my hand to her face and touch her little cheek, and when I look at my hand, it is damp. I touch my face and realize I am crying.

• I lift my gaze and see the woman who is just a few steps away. She is looking at me with hatred and it infuriates me.

• "My problem? I don't know what you're talking about, girl."
• "You haven't stopped looking at me with hatred, we don't know each other and I haven't done anything to you."
• "What an insolent girl."
• "Insolent?"
• "Yes, insolent!"
• "The insolent one here is you. You haven't stopped looking at me with hatred and disapproval."
• "Well, that's what you get for opening your legs at such a young age, ruining your life. That's my problem! You'll burn in hell for being foolish and giving in to carnal desire."
• After she says those words, I start laughing as if I am crazy.
• "The one who will burn will be someone else. You should stop being an ignorant woman. Ruin my life? You're wrong, having a child at a young age will not ruin my life. I will prove to you and anyone who thinks like you that you are wrong. Crazy old lady!"
• The woman starts turning red with anger and at that moment Mrs. Clarisa enters after hearing my shout.
• "What's going on here?"
• "She's rude and a foolish little girl."
• "The rude and foolish one here is you, ma'am. It was you who has been rude since I arrived with Mia. If you have a problem with me being a young mother, it's not my problem. You'll have to endure my presence until we are discharged."

• "Please, calm down. We are in a hospital and there are many sick children. Ma'am, please."
• "I want us to be moved to another room, neither my son nor I will stay with a sinner and her bastard."
• I am about to lunge at her after she calls Mia a bastard, if it weren't for Mrs.Clarisa holding me back, that woman would already be suffering and writhing in pain.

• I look at Mrs. Clarisa, who seems a little scared. I feel sorry for her, as she is the one who has helped me from the beginning and has not criticized or judged me even once for being a young mother.
• "I don't care what family this woman belongs to, I swear she will regret it someday. Mrs. Clarisa, I appreciate your help, but it's better if they move us to another room or this woman will burn here."

• Mrs. Clarisa hands me over to Mia, while she holds me by the shoulders to take me out of that room.

• Just as we leave, my body collides with a young man with blond hair and blue eyes. His aura was intimidating, I'm not usually easily scared, as my grandmother says I'm a wild woman. But this man scares me for some reason.
• " I'm sorry."
• I apologize and immediately lower my gaze. He says nothing, just leaves when he hears a man similar to him, but older, calling him.
• " Come."
• I follow Mrs. Clarisa to the new room where they are going to leave us.
• " You'll be better off here. Girl, you must be careful next time, the woman you argued with is the housekeeper of one of the most powerful families in this city. You're lucky if they don't find you and hurt you. That family makes people disappear who contradict their words. Better watch your tongue next time."
• " I don't care which family she belongs to, we are all human beings and she had no right to judge me."
• " I know, but you must be careful. Okay?"
• " Yes, all right. Thank you, Mrs. Clarisa."
• " Do you want to call someone?"
• " Actually... Yes..."
• " Here, use my phone and call whoever you need. I'll be outside making sure they don't know where I brought you, then I'll come back for my phone. Don't leave this room until I return."
