Chapter 12 Her Fever Has Returned

• The next day, I start my day without any setbacks. I attend my classes and do my extra shift at the restaurant.
• During the night, I hear Mia crying non-stop. I get up scared and when I touch her forehead, her temperature is too high. I run to where I used to keep her emergency medications, give her something for the fever, but as the minutes pass, her fever does not decrease and neither does her pain.
