Chapter 6 Relationships Should Not Be Formed At Random

  • Cora whirled around as she noticed the familiar face. It was, in fact, Byron. Cora was incredibly embarrassed for a brief while. To her amazement, Byron said gently, "Are you all right?" Cora wasn't sure if it was an illusion, but she noticed that Byron's attractive face seemed concerned. "I'm fine." She felt OK, aside from her sprained ankle. Sally likewise took advantage of the chance to break free from the waiters' clutches and came to Cora. "Cora, are you all right?" "I'm all right. "And how about you?" The manager approached Byron just as they were busy making sure neither of them was wounded. "Mr. Hansen, these two women were causing havoc and bullying. We'll get rid of them immediately so as not to bother the other visitors."
  • "Are you sure you're not the big bully?" Byron cast a chilly gaze at the manager. Even though he was not upset, his voice was dignified. "No, no, of course not," Mia rushed over as the manager continued to explain. "Let me explain, Uncle Byron. I came here for supper and had no idea I'd run into these two unreasonable women. The management couldn't take it any longer and decided to drive them out." She kept glancing at Byron at the same time. Mia had a weakness for gorgeous males, which was partly due to her physical appearance. Mia wasn't expecting Byron to give her a harsh look before asking, "Do I even know you?" Mia was taken aback for a moment, but then she remembered that the previous time they met, she hadn't had time to officially greet Byron, so she immediately cleaned up her outfit and introduced herself. "Uncle Byron, I'm your nephew Eason's fiancee, Mia Donald."
  • Mia mentioned, in addition to her self-introduction, that she was closer to Byron than Cora or Sally. Mia hoped Byron would side with her and request that the waiters drive them out of the restaurant. Byron answered unexpectedly, "I haven't heard of any engagement news from my family." His comments hit Mia square in the face. Everyone in the room could sense the uneasiness. Mia was the most taken aback. "Uncle Byron…" Mia was determined not to give up and needed to say something. "Don't call me that until you're actually married to my nephew," Byron said, holding up a hand. We're not sure if that's even happened yet." Mia's entire face was flushed from the scolding. The most important thing was that Mia was enraged when she saw Cora and Sally suppressing their laughs. "Cora and Sally!"
