Chapter 7 Parent And Child Reunion
- Elia's eyes were bloodshot, and she sobbed quietly. Gabriel's eyes were sharp as he swore, "Mom, Dad, I will make sure that everyone pays the price and I will send them to you." He added, "Sever their heads and seek revenge for you!"
- Gerry shed tears and said, "Young Master, you have finally returned. The Master and Madam longed for you every day while they were alive." He continued, "After the Master and Madam passed away, their bodies were never found, only an empty grave."
- Upon hearing these words, Gabriel felt even more suffocated, his eyes turning red. To be humiliated like this even after their parents' death, unable to find their remains... Curse the Four Great Clans!
- After paying their respects to the Skarsdale couple, Elia hesitantly asked, "Brother, do you want to visit your sister-in-law?" Gabriel's heart skipped a beat, and the two nodded in agreement.
- At that moment, in the Blaine family, a middle-aged man with terrifying dark eyes, Alexander Blaine, the head of the family, was shocked. He exclaimed, "What? Elia was rescued by Gabriel? Herman was killed? That was Dragon Lord's territory! How could that person possibly..."
- Luke Blaine, another middle-aged man, kneeled on the ground, crying loudly. Herman Blaine was his only son, and he couldn't accept his son's death. He pleaded, "Brother, you must seek justice for Herman!"
- Alexander nodded reassuringly and said, "Don't worry, I will definitely seek justice on his behalf." He couldn't believe that Gabriel, after fighting on the northern border for so many years, was actually still alive. He thought Gabriel was really lucky and audacious to kill Blaine's family members. Alexander decided to investigate Gabriel's background first.
- However, Alexander knew that even if Gabriel rose up, the Four Great Clans were the rulers in Claritas. Even if Gabriel returned, it would still be a dead end for him. The Blaines, the Lawrences, the Jacobsens, and the Halfords' family had complete control in Claritas. After all, a mere Gabriel couldn't stir up trouble. Five years ago, they could have easily killed Gabriel, and five years later, they could still do the same.
- Alexander also thought about the engagement ceremony between Hazel Lombard and Hugo Blaine. He decided to send an invitation to Gabriel Skarsdale. On that day, he planned to humiliate Gabriel thoroughly and then toy with him like a cat playing with a mouse before finally killing him. Only then would he find relief.
- The Jeep came to a stop in a rundown neighborhood. The surroundings were cluttered and chaotic, and the air carried a foul odor. Gabriel's heart trembled wildly as he realized that Xanthe had endured living in such conditions all these years. He felt guilty. Suddenly, his gaze hardened, and he focused on a trash bin by the roadside. Two dirty children stood there, helpless, while a middle-aged couple yelled angrily at them.
- Elia shouted, "Andrew, Deirdre!" Gabriel's heart trembled fiercely, and he yelled, "Stop!" He kicked open the car door and stepped out. His gaze softened a little as he looked at those two children. He called them "two little beggars." The menacing middle-aged couple demanded payment for the damage to their car and threatened the children.
- The little boy protected the little girl, his eyes filled with fear but unwavering determination. He explained that Deirdre didn't have any money and that it was the couple who knocked into them. The little girl pleaded, "Auntie, please don't be angry, okay? It's not Deirdre's fault... This is all the money Deirdre earned today by collecting bottles." She extended her dirty hands, cupped the small change in her palms, and placed it in front of the middle-aged couple. She begged them not to tell her mother and grandmother, fearing they would scold her brother again.
- Gabriel's eyes stung, tears welling up. Seeing the meager amount of less than five dollars, the middle-aged woman became angrier. She slapped the money to the ground and threatened to beat the children to death. Her face twisted with a grim expression as she raised her hand, ready to strike.
