Chapter 4 Dispose Of Them All!
- Despite being surrounded by over a hundred opponents, Gabriel remained unfazed. He glanced at the woman he called Phoenix, also known as Audra Skar, although few people were aware of that. "Phoenix, have our reinforcements arrived?"
- These scum were not worth dirtying his hands with!
- "They're almost here, sir," Audra promptly replied.
- The auctioneer sneered contemptuously. "Reinforcements? What a display! Let's see how many reinforcements you've managed to gather!"
- He had barely finished speaking when a man rushed in frantically and collapsed to his knees, looking terrified. "Boss, we're in trouble! There's a multitude of people outside!"
- The auctioneer scoffed. "So? How many reinforcements can this bastard call in anyway?"
- The man trembled with fear. Stammering, he held up one finger. "T...there's..."
- "One?" The auctioneer chuckled, his expression filled with mockery.
- The man vigorously shook his head.
- "Ten?"
- Once again, the man shook his head, and the terror in his eyes grew...
- "One hundred?"
- "N...no...there's p...perhaps t...ten thousand of them!" The man finally stammered. "Th...the entire place has b...been surrounded!"
- The auctioneer's expression drastically changed, and he began to tremble.
- Bang! Bang!
- Ear-splitting gunshots suddenly erupted outside; everyone in the hall heard them clearly. The ground shook slightly as the sound of many marching feet drew nearer and nearer.
- "What...what's happening?" Everyone associated with the auction house turned pale.
- In the next moment, an entire garrison of armed soldiers swarmed in! They spread out throughout the entire hall in a disciplined and orderly formation.
- "How many of them are there? Three thousand? Five thousand?"
- "Oh my God, there are even more of them outside..."
- Gabriel's opponents were stunned! Their legs turned weak, and they froze in fear...
- The auctioneer turned as white as a ghost.
- The soldiers had now taken over the entire hall. Each one of them wore a solemn, respectful expression, standing prepared for action.
- A uniformed, middle-aged man with medals adorning his left shoulder stepped forward from the ranks. Holding himself upright, he marched directly to Gabriel, then knelt down before him, his expression filled with utmost respect!
- "Commander Joram Cross of the Claritas garrison reporting for duty, sir! I've brought eight thousand of my men here, your H..."
- Gabriel signaled for the man to remain silent. "You may rise, Commander." He did not wish to reveal his identity just yet; it would be troublesome at this moment.
- The hundred or so people in the auction hall were staggered, including the auctioneer! Their minds almost short-circuited at the thought...
- Eight thousand soldiers! Gabriel Skarsdale had managed to summon that many armored soldiers in an instant! Not only that, the garrison commander was kneeling before him! Who exactly was this man with such terrifying power?
- Commander Cross quickly stood up. Respectfully, he asked, "Sir, what do you wish to do with these people here?"
- Gabriel's eyes gleamed ruthlessly. "Dispose of them all." Holding Elia in his arms, he left the hall without even glancing back. Audra followed closely behind him.
- Everyone in the hall, including the auctioneer, fell to their knees in terror and began begging and pleading...
- "Have mercy! Please have mercy..."
- "The Dragon Lord sent us here..."
- A volley of gunfire rang out, and the voices instantly ceased. The metallic scent of blood slowly filled the entire auction hall...
- No one was left alive!
- "Clear the area immediately! Dispose of the bodies and clean up the place!" Commander Cross ordered without a hint of emotion. The Marshal's orders were to be executed to the last detail!
- Outside, Elia looked at Gabriel with wonder. "Gabe, you're incredibly powerful now, aren't you?"
- Gabriel hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "I am. From now on, no one will ever harm you again."
- Elia's eyes filled with sadness. "It's a shame that Mom and Dad aren't here to witness your return..."
- "I promise I'll avenge Mom and Dad, Ellie. I'll make the Four Great Clans pay in blood for what they did!"
- "But Gabe, the Four Great Clans practically control all of Claritas..." Elia looked anxious. She feared that her brother wouldn't be able to defeat the Four Great Clans; what if he ended up like their parents? She only had one family member left in the world! "Let's just go far away from here, okay? I'm so afraid of losing you too..."
- "There's nothing to worry about, Ellie. They're as insignificant as ants to me." Gabriel's eyes turned cold and determined. "I'll make them pay a hundred times over!"
- Elia studied her brother's unwavering, confident expression; all she could do was nod. Suddenly, she said, "Oh, Gabe, I think you should go and see Sis and her family. I don't know if this situation will cause them any trouble."
- "Sis?" Anger flared in Gabriel's eyes. "You mean Hazel Lombard? Pah! That woman is not worthy of being your sister-in-law! I'll deal with her soon..."
- "No, no..." Elia interrupted hastily. "I'm not referring to Hazel, Gabe. I'm talking about Xanthe LeBlanc..."
- Xanthe LeBlanc!
- Gabriel's heart skipped a beat. Xanthe was the woman he had forced himself upon five years ago...
- "There's something you don't know, big brother..." Elia continued, clearly relishing the news she was about to deliver. "Sis...I mean Xanthe...gave birth to fraternal twins, a boy and a girl..."
- Gabriel's mind froze completely upon hearing this.
- Fraternal twins...
- He was now a father?
