Chapter 11 I'm Your Guardian Angel
- She had to consider her child.
- "You may leave now..." Helene sneered. "You're not even worthy of standing beside Mr. Bradford."
- "What?"
- Gabriel wanted to argue. As the Marshal of Numenis, money meant nothing to him, but how dare she look down on him?
- "Gabriel, you really disappointed me. There's no way we can be together. Leave and never come back." Xanthe scowled.
- Hearing that, Gabriel felt heartbroken.
- Right then, a young man entered with a few bodyguards behind him.
- "Why is no one welcoming me at the door?"
- "Mr. Bradford!" Helene exclaimed when she saw him. "Please, come in..."
- Bradford was their benefactor. Helene had to flatter him. Even Beaumont approached and welcomed him.
- Xanthe was stunned. She felt awkward. She didn't want to marry Bradford at all, but she had no choice. However, Gabriel had returned, and she was torn.
- Why, Gabriel? Why did you come back now?
- Xanthe's mind went blank. She tried to calm down.
- "Do you want to marry him?"
- "I..." Xanthe was speechless. She didn't know what to say.
- "Xanthe, don't just stand there. Come over here and talk to Mr. Bradford!" Helene beckoned.
- "You don't want to marry him, do you?" Gabriel asked, staring at Xanthe. It seemed like he could read her mind.
- Xanthe turned around. She didn't want to look Gabriel in the eyes.
- "Ask him to leave. I can give you everything you want."
- Hearing that, Xanthe's heart skipped a beat. She was stunned.
- Gabriel's face darkened. He then walked over to Bradford and said, "Xanthe will not marry you, please leave now."
- "What? Who do you think you are?" Bradford was furious.
- Helene was shocked and slapped Gabriel in the face.
- "Gabriel! What are you talking about? Get out of here immediately!"
- Right then, Bradford remembered and recognized Gabriel. "Oh, so you're Gabriel Skarsdale, the rapist. How dare you speak to me like this? Believe it or not, I can kill you!"
- Bradford then turned to Xanthe and warned, "Xanthe, you should feel grateful that I like you. How dare you associate with this man? You're such a b*tch!"
- Glaring, Bradford continued, "Your family is begging me to marry you, not the other way around. Do you understand? Please ask him to leave now. Otherwise, don't blame me if I harm him. I will give you one million, but you must promise me not to see him anymore!"
- Tears welled up in Xanthe's eyes. She knew Bradford very well, and he meant what he said.
- "Gabriel, I think you should leave... You can't fight Mr. Bradford. Moreover, I can receive one million if I marry him. Please... leave us alone."
- Hearing that, Gabriel felt a surge of pain. He approached and wiped Xanthe's tears.
- "You're my woman. No one can bully you as long as I'm around. Whether you accept me or not, no one can harm you. I'm your guardian angel."
- No one could force Xanthe, especially those who looked down on her and didn't appreciate her.
- "Damn!"
- Bradford was infuriated. He was angry that Gabriel still hadn't left.
- It seemed that Gabriel didn't take Bradford seriously, and Bradford felt humiliated.
- "Guys, take him down and break his legs!" Bradford shouted.
- Hearing that, Xanthe was shocked. She quickly begged for mercy, "Mr. Bradford, please. Let him go, and I'll marry you."
- "Are you sure? Well, I'll still break one of his legs..." Bradford continued, "And, prepare yourself and wait for me at the hotel tonight, okay?"
- Before Bradford could finish his words, he was kicked from behind and immediately spat out blood.
- "Who do you think you are? How could you do this to my woman?" Gabriel glared and stepped on Bradford's chest.
- Once again, Bradford spat out blood, and instantly, the place fell into dead silence.
