• Derrick moved away to the dining table, away from his mother, as he didn't say a word to her. Also, he sat at a far end of the dining table, sitting on the chair three seats away from Lady Loretta and Alex.
• "Mama, what did Uncle do to you? You should forgive him," Alex said, innocently, and Lady Loretta smiled.
• "Derrick didn't do anything wrong to me directly. But you remember Miranda, right?" Lady Loretta asked, just as the rest of the maids stepped out from the kitchen to serve them breakfast.
