Chapter 50 New Life

• Miranda left the city and went to the nearby town where she had bought her land five years ago. She rented an apartment there, and though broken, she met with Agent Paul and briefed him on all she had been through and why she was no longer working as a maid in the city center.
• Agent Paul felt pity for Miranda, and he helped her get an affordable apartment where she now lives alone.
• Miranda was living on the lower floor of the one-story building. The neighbors living in the house wanted to pry on her life and why she had chosen to live alone, but Miranda didn't care to brief them on any of that. With Agent Paul's influence, the landlord of the house had given Miranda the self-contained apartment. Though small, it was comfortable, having a private parlor which served as her sitting room and a bedroom of her own.
