• I wondered why I wasn’t fired immediately and was instead being brought up to Fatty’s office on the ninth floor. Could it be that he wanted to avenge Caleb after I sunk my teeth into the latter’s flesh?
• I grew uneasy as Liam escorted me up to the ninth floor. I wasn’t in the mood to admire the opulence that seemed to spill over every inch of the place; instead, my mind raced to come up with reasons as to why Fatty might want to see me.
• Fatty’s office was toward the end of the hallway and was the most auspicious location. It was fronted by an intimidating set of mahogany double doors.
