Chapter 18 Being Bold

• Originally, I thought I could take advantage of Jessie after she fell asleep, but in the end, I fell asleep in less than five minutes. After all, I was really beat after a busy day in the hospital. Then, I had a dream that I fell into the water and could not breathe. Nearing my death, I opened my eyes all of a sudden, but right at that moment, I saw a pair of eyes staring at me at close range in the darkness. "Ah! There’s a ghost!" I yelled out while instantly getting up from the ground.
• "Ah!" Jessie's scream rang in my ears, and in the next second, the desk lamp was turned on by her.
• "What the hell are you screaming for? You're the ghost!" Jessie glared at me angrily. By now, I had guessed that the eyes I saw in the darkness just now must be Jessie’s.
