Chapter 30 – Shadows Of Suspicion
- The grand hall of the Calir palace was adorned with rich tapestries and intricate carvings, reflecting the history and power of the kingdom. King Martin sat upon his throne, flanked by his son Prince Alexander, who stood tall and composed, and his trusted advisor Xavier, who remained vigilant at his side. The atmosphere in the room was solemn, as the two royals awaited the arrival of King Damion of the Shadowrealm. It had been more than five days since the king sent Andromeda on her mission to meet with the Vampire King and he was eager for a report.
- Moments later, King Damion entered the hall, accompanied by his son Prince Orion. The Shadowrealm king exuded an aura of regal authority, his piercing eyes showing his keen intelligence. Orion, however, seemed more reserved, his gaze shifting nervously as he glanced around the room, his eyes settling on Alexander. Their eyes met, but instead of a moment of recognition or connection, there was an unspoken challenge. Orion's gaze carried a hint of defiance, as if daring Alexander to lay claim to Andromeda. Meanwhile, Alexander's eyes held a protective glint, silently warning Orion not to overstep his bounds.
- “Greetings, King Martin,” King Damion said, bowing respectfully. “Thank you for granting us an audience.”
