• “I came to check on the work.”
• She looked slightly perplexed but she didn’t say anything else. I glanced at Kaden out of the corner of my eye and I felt that undeniable pull towards him. In the light I was able to admire his features properly and admire the sharp curve of his jaw line and the depth of his eyes and how the sun gave them an intriguing look. They looked like something straight out of a watercolor painting.
