Chapter 6

• "It's nothing Maya" I muttered and she scoffed pulling me out and turning my back forcefully to reveal the plate.
• "Tsk! She chuckled deadly, her brows rising in scorn. She smirked and clapped her hands in a mockery manner.
• "You stole our food didn't you?" She asked, her eyes snapping wickedly.
• "I didn't steal the food, It was Just a used plate which was in our room that I decided to bring to the kitchen" I lied.
• I would never tell them my mother gave me the food because I do not want my mother going through any punishment because of me.
• "Oh really? How convincing is that? Do you think I'm daft not to know this plate was just used?" She asked and I swallowed and kept quiet.
• You are ready shameless and stupid. I can't believe you steal food Zendaya" she scorned.
• "I didn't steal the food and even if I did, it should not be considered as theft because I'm also a member of this family" I muttered and she slapped me hard.
• "How are you a member of this family?" She asked arching her brows.
• "We share the same father" I muttered lowly looking down whilst averting her incoming hit.
• "You must be very stupid to think my father is your father.
• Who knows who got your slutty mother pregnant that she had to accuse my father of what he didn't do.
• Do you in any way look like any of us that you will consider yourself a member of this family?" She yelled hitting me again.
• I chewed on my inner cheek to suppress the pain of her slap.
• "Follow me now with that plate in your hands. I am taking you to my father so he would see for himself how you go into our kitchen to steal our food" she said and began dragging me.
• "I did not steal the food Maya I told you it's used plate" I muttered trying to resist her grip.
• "Liar!" She exclaimed hitting my head then snatching the plate from my hand. She smelled the plate and busted out laughing.
• "You are such a lame thief and a liar. I have always known you were a petty criminal and I have waited to catch you red-handed in the act and now that I have, you are doomed" she muttered with a smirk.
• "I did not steal the food and this is also my father's house" I mumbled in a low tone which was supposed to be inaudible to her but she obviously heard it due to her wolf's hearing ability and next, a stinging slap landed on my cheek.
• "You had it when it isn't time for you to, doesn't that make you a thief? And I'm sure your sl*tty mother gave it to you or did you steal it yourself?" She asked and my blood ran hot immediately she called my mother sl*tty but I managed to calm down.
• There's nothing I could do anyway and even if I try to do anything, it would be putting me and my mother into more pains and sufferings.
• "Do not bring my mother into this, she did not give the food to me. I took it myself" I said to her fighting myself not to glare at her.
• "Oh, so now you took it yourself and it's no longer a used plate. What a shameless liar" she snickered.
• "That isn't my business anyway and it is not in my power to give verdicts but I will make sure your mother gets punished too after all she's the one in charge of the kitchen and shouldn't allow anyone in there so where was she when you took the food?" Maya said and began dragging me to the park's torture room.
• I kept quiet and just moved along with her. I do not care about the beatings I would receive and it doesn't bother me because my body had received so much that It became part of me. I'm only bothered for my mother.
• Her making sure I ate early has landed her in trouble and with what Maya said, I'm sure the alpha won't spare her too.
• "Tie her up and make sure she doesn't escape, I would go get my father now," Maya said to the guards outside the torture room and handed me over to them before walking away.
• They took me into the room and tied me firmly to a pool. Different types of torture materials were laid on the table, some hung on the walls.
• The room was so dark and the only light seen was the rays of sunlight coming through the half-closed window.
• I closed my eyes and waited for the arrival of the alpha and probably every member of the house as Maya would make sure to call all of them.
• As long as she was the one who caught me, she would make sure I receive the worst punishment.
• Aside from the flogging, I know I would be made to do works a lad of my age wouldn't be able to do.
• I had grown some muscles on the arms from lifting heavy bars of iron and working at the construction sites where I get to do difficult tasks as punishments.
• The door opened and just like I imagined the whole family trooped into the room with the look of disgust visible on their faces as their eyes laid on me.
• My mother was pushed into the room by Maya who was grinning widely as she watch my mother stumble and fall to the ground.
• I shut my eyes tightly as the pain of seeing my mother being treated in such a manner seeped through me tearing my heart apart.
• Tears ran down my eyes and trickled into my dress. I look up to my mother who had managed to get up.
• "leave my mother alone, she doesn't know any of these and she did not see me taking the food.
• Punish me and leave my mother alone" I yelled at her, my eyes blazing fire.
