Chapter 16
- She looked at another man... Again, she sensed that underlying sense of fear within him as he met her eyes, and then shifted them away. She glanced over at Keaira and found her scanning over the crowd as well. They knew that everyone was watching them. They could feel the men's eyes travel over them, growing aroused by the sight of them and they delighted in the power they had over these men ... They could feel the anger and hatred coming from some of the women who watched them in disgust... But they were unimportant... They were all unimportant, for they all had that fear... Keaira's eyes gleamed as she flicked her tongue over Renata's earlobe and then bit down harder again, drawing a pain-filled sigh of pleasure from her lover. "But they are never enough," Renata groaned softly. Her eyes slid halfway closed as she looked around the room. Again she found the men, and some women, watching them. When her eyes caught them and they looked away, she dismissed them.
