Chapter 55 Deadly Connections

• As Charlotte drove home, her mind whirled with thoughts of her encounter with Donald. She couldn't shake the feeling that she had just made a deal with the devil himself. She pulled out her phone and dialed Antonio's number, needing a distraction from her dark thoughts. He answered on the second ring.
• "Hey, Antonio. How's Piper doing?" Charlotte asked, trying hard to sound casual.
• "She's recovering well, thanks for asking," Antonio replied. "But we've got a situation here. We caught the guy who poisoned her."
