Chapter 18 Scott's Suspicion

• The construction of the city park in Beecroft was halfway through to completion. Zara had been working so hard that she barely noticed the change in her body
• It had been five months since she last ran into Scott or spoke to him on the phone. Although she was thankful for this, she had a bad feeling that when he finally showed up, he would bring along more troubles with him.
• And just like that, her fears came to pass. Zara was on the grounds for the ongoing city park one sunny afternoon. She had on a helmet and safety vest and was holding an umbrella over her head. She was speaking with Brielle, who was jotting down some things when a shiny car suddenly pulled up on the premises. Its tires on the gravel caused a loud drifting sound that startled Zara.
