• My eyes flutter opened as I sat up looking around in fret. My throat dried, as I felt like my strength was deprived of me. My breath became heavy as I put a hand over my chest and closed my eyes in dread. I began to pant as my mind was filled with consternation. I swallowed hard and exhaled in relief when I opened my eyes and saw Christian sleeping beside me. I ran my hand in my hair as I let out deep breaths to calm my anxious self and shook my head.
