Chapter 12 Blood Relation
- Carefully holding onto that short strand of hair, Yan Su watched as Ji Fuchen reached up to pluck a strand of his own hair and handed it over.
- Yan Su was stunned. He believes the owner of this short hair is related to him?
- The next day.
- Min Qing received a call from Wan Sisi, explaining that Lingrui’s kindergarten enrolment had been arranged. The best kindergarten in R City was remarkable in every way, except for its extravagant fees and demanding entry requirements.
- “One hundred and fifty thousand per semester? That’s too expensive, Sisi! Let’s send him to a different one instead!”
- “There’s no better place than Dewei Kindergarten. My godson can’t lose right from the starting line! Don’t worry about the fees. I’ll cover them first, and you can pay me back when you have the money.”
- “But...”
- “Alright! Don’t waver around anymore. The school has already registered Lingrui’s name. I’m a huge celebrity; I can’t just go back on my word and tell them he isn’t enrolling anymore!”
- After hanging up, Min Qing sat on the couch and watched her son play with his toys.
- Which mother wouldn’t want the best for her own child?
- She was the same too. She just couldn’t afford such expensive fees.
- If Sisi was going to help pay for the first semester, what about the next? Even if Sisi didn’t mind, it still wasn’t right to let her keep covering the fees in advance.
- Min Qing suddenly remembered ‘GK Fashionista’; it was a company her mother had left behind before dying.
- It now legally belonged to the murderer, Min Shan’er.
- Min Qing had returned this time to take the company back. Her vivid eyes gradually turned cold. With Min Shan’er occupying the nest for so long, it was about time for her to give up what didn’t belong to her.
- Min Qing took her phone and dialed a number she had memorized by heart, wondering if this person had changed their number after six years.
- “Hello, may I know who’s speaking?”
- Min Qing became excited at the sound of a polite voice.
- “Jiang Ya, it’s Min Qing.”
- Her answer was met with a long pause of silence.
- “Jiang Ya, I—”
- Min Qing was interrupted just as she spoke again. “Is that really you, Qing?” the voice from the other end choked.
- “Yes, it really is me,” Min Qing said, feeling her nose tingle. “I’m sorry for not contacting you for the past six years.”
- Jiang Ya shook his head. “Don’t say that. I’m sure you have your reasons. Are you free now, Qing? If you are, let’s meet up and talk.”
- “I am.”
- Min Qing hung up and said to Min Lingrui, “Lingrui, Mommy’s heading out for a while and will be back soon. Be good at home, OK?”
- Min Lingrui responded in his soft voice, “Go ahead, Mommy! It’s fine if you come back late. I have so many toys to play with!”
- Min Qing’s eyes warmed as she gazed at her adorable son. This boy was truly the best gift she could ever receive from the heavens.
- Min Qing arrived at the specified café.
- Jiang Ya had already arrived in advance, dressed in a white suit and a pair of silver-framed glasses. He had a very ordinary appearance. Sitting by the French windows, he was easy to overlook.
- Upon seeing Min Qing, Jiang Ya got up and waved at her excitedly. “Over here, Qing.”
- Min Qing walked over and sat across Jiang Ya. After not seeing him for six years, the man now seemed more mature and stable.
- A staff came over and they ordered a latte.
- Jiang Ya locked his gaze on Min Qing. Tears welled up in his eyes as he saw how beautiful Min Qing still looked after six years. “Min Shan’er said you had died, but I just couldn’t believe her. I was certain you were alive. I waited all these years, and you’ve really come back.”
- His voice sounded shaky.
