Chapter 5 Ava
- Standing alone in this enclosed room with this stranger, makes my limb forget itself.Something about the way he stares at me, his eyes glowing from the gleaming lights and shivers roll down my spine.
- I am suddenly aware of how many clothes I am wearing. The feeling to cover myself triple folds as his eyes perused my skin.
- He seems to notice my discomfort and chuckles slowly, his voice washing over me.
- Oh…god, It's like I have been thrown into the Tiger's den, one wrong move and I'll be ripped to pieces.
- What was Gordon thinking sending me here?
- “What is your name,” his low voice reaches me.
- I take a few beats to collect myself ,
- “That is not important,” I say walking slowly to the pole.
- “And what is?” he relaxes deeper into the couch.
- One of his hands nurses his drink while the other spread far on the top the couch.
- I can't help but stare at his forearm boasting of thick veins from his rolled-up sleeves.
- “How pleased you will be when I am done”
- Come on Ava you can do this, just like before, tell them what they want to hear.
- He corks his brows and smirks as he gulps his drink, dropping the cup, he leans forward “Get on with it then.”
- “What would you like me to do?”
- “Please me” he watches me with hooded eyes as I stalk towards him slowly, There's a little shake in my limbs but I don’t think he notices.
- I let my inner prowess take over when I reach him bending over as if to straddle him, but all I do is press play on the dashboard behind him and the music feels the air.
- I get a whiff of his cologne, strong wooden and masculine, It's intoxicating but I don’t wait as I move off him swaying to the music, letting the feeling envelop me.
- That’s right Ava, this isn’t your first rodeo, he's just another man after all I spun around the pole suddenly feeling the need to put on the best show of my life.
- Usually, the men were chatty or handsy by now but all this stranger did was watch me. I could see the desire, It filled the air thickening it, the room suddenly felt so small, his desire enveloped me and all I could do was revel in it as the music vibrated through my body.
- His pants were already spotting hard-on but he only clenched his fist refusing to move.
- What is it about this man?
- The music comes to an end as I strike the final pose breathing hard and feeling ecstatic as adrenaline pumps through me.
- Our eyes meet and his face is hard now.His features sharper as his jaw tightens, I gulp at the sight when he stands up.
- Fuck….he is taller than I thought he was. When he reaches me he caresses my cheeks brushing against my mask and I reached for his hands before he tries taking them off.
- “What is your name?” his voice deeper than it already was almost forcing a response out of me but I bit my tongue.
- I didn’t anyone in this place to know who I was especially this man.
- “Like I said that isn’t important,” I try leaving a small smile but my lips are quivering “So on a scale of 1-10, how pleased are you?” I ask.
- This man snickers,
- “Not even close, and since you seem to know how important that is, I propose you do better next time.”
- “N..next time?”
- My lips form a thin line but my stare reaches the bulge in his pants and I smile.
- ” Of course,” I close the distance between us as his hard-on brushes my belly, he grunts looking down at me, I breath him in unashamed,
- “..or we could have a redo,” looking down between us “although some other part of you seems very very pleased” I draw out.
- What the hell Ava, he just belittled you, why are you proposing another performance my brain smacks me, but something about him voicing his disappointment even though it's an obvious lie makes me want to prove how wrong he is, makes me want to taunt him, prick the Tiger's tail see if he pounces. It's all wrong but I do it anyway.
- “OH darling, I'll be seeing you more” he grins and I blink back the surprise, It caught me off guard but how can a man look so good and give such energy making me fuzzy.
- I don’t correct the fact that he won't be seeing me again, It doesn’t matter anyway, I'll never see him again. When I'm done with Gordon, I’m leaving.
- “What do you mean indefinitely” I shout at Gordon looking up from the paper in my hand that I supposedly signed 5years ago “It's written there isn’t it?” Gordon answers me.
- “You tricked me, there was no clause about how long it was going to be.”
- “Well, Little one, It is as you have read it and your signature is there so how did I trick you.”
- “You took advantage of the fact I was desperate to leave” I rip the paper but Gordon only laughs.
- "Why did you let me go if you were only going to keep me here on a leash.”
- “Leash? Don’t be dramatic Ava,Did you see how people worshipped you today, don’t get me started on how much you pulled in this night.
- I can arrange a good pay settlement that will have you comfortable enough to do anything you want.
- Not jumping from one casting audition to another and leaving off scrapes” playing with the ring on his finger I small laugh leaves my lips.
- “That is what I want to do, the only thing I want to do, it's my dream” my voice raising to point out a fact.
- “Then you have to wake up!”
- “I WANT A LIFE WITHOUT HAVING TO BE NAKED, why don’t you understand me”
- “Is that why you ran away, left the condo I instructed you to stay in.”
- “I didn’t want to owe you more than I already did” I laugh now as I see how ridiculous that sounds in this situation I stayed in the dorms, but if I had known this would happen I wouldn’t have bothered.
- Gordon has my hands tied and the consequences of breach of contract is a hundred million dollars,
- A hitched breath comes out as a huff.
- _talk about top ridiculousness_
- “Little one, be reasonable. All I want is to be like old times,
- You wanted to leave and I let you a little freedom, that’s more than enough, don’t you think?”
- “you don’t own me” I bite with so much venom in my voice.
- “I raised you, nobody said anything about owning you, but you owe me that much” he sighs “You are not being any reasonable right now” I can't believe this.
- “If you only stop whining to see the bright side of this contract which is beneficial to not only me as you might believe”
- “And, to give the benefit of the doubt, I'll draw up a payment clause..”
- looking down at the ripped paper,
- “..on another copy,30% shared revenue for every performance 4 days a week. Take it or might change my mind” his voice nonchalant.
- “You might as well tie me to the pole, if you want me living here just say it.”
- “It's not as bad as you make it seem, a lot of people would kill for this, life isn’t a bed of roses Little one.”
- “You of all people know it's been anything but that, my life has always been a nightmare,” I say as Greg steps into the office cutting me short. He gives Gordon a document, who then drops it on the table between us, with that, he stands to his feet buttoning his suit.
- “Then think of this as a very bright side of that nightmare” he turns to leave.
- “Come in tomorrow Ava and don’t even think of disappearing, I wouldn’t be as merciful as today if I have to drag you back, besides , we are family” and with that, he leaves.
