Chapter 4 Ethan
- It's already 8 pm when we get to the company, telling John to clock out for the day as I will drive myself home when I am done.
- Getting to my office I pull my jacket and place it on the coat hanger and dive into the information I had been gathering since the first hit Annex took.
- It was not normal cause I believe there was leaked information that caused the whole issue and Phillip agreed, fishing him out and firing him, saying the competition paid him to do it, but a lot of things didn’t add up.
- Our stocks fell hard, but it started getting stable again and the fact that we had an internal crisis, trying to contain the whole panic but the press still got hold of the situation causing another fall.
- It was sabotage and the only way I could bring back a bit of stability was to propose to Sarah, the daughter and heir to blue Blueye industry.
- We had a thing, she wanted more but I broke it off.
- We proposed an offer to Blue Eyes but her father got personal when Sarah stepped in and the only thing she wanted was to marry me I refused but my father spoke to me, my mother compelled and when it didn’t work she begged.
- Being the CEO of the company it was my fault all that happened, my responsibility to fix but after tying me to that position, did I still have to be tied to a marriage I didn’t want After so little time and deliberation, I proposed last week, grandeur like Sarah had told me she wanted, all parties planned and executed afterwards like a movie.
- Going through so much paper right now without a lead has me frustrated, I breathe in and rest back on the chair, staring at the ceiling.
- Looking at the time I see it is 10:43 pm.
- I need to find the insider, I did not get to see who the bastard was because I was too busy trying to contain the fire.
- Philip just said he was caught and let go, we should have sued the motherfucker.
- Picking up my phone I dial Josh's number, it had slipped my mind to call but I was sent straight to voicemail, so I sent a message instead telling him mom wanted him home tomorrow for dinner.
- The clock ticking as I tap my hand on the desk phone in my other hand, I dial another number and it goes through this time.
- “To what do I owe this unpleasant surprise, the CEO of Annex calling me,” goes through the phone into my ear.
- “Been a while Gordon” I say to him.
- “I thought you fell off the face of the earth” sarcasm fills his voice.
- “I will skip the pleasantries, Gordon, I need a favour” trying to go straight to the point.
- “Of course, but who said you can?”
- “Can you not do this now, I am in a dilemma and I need to find someone.”
- “I heard you are getting married,” is all he says I can hear him crunching something in the background.
- "Why, are you surprised?” I ask.
- “Do you want me to be?” his question.made me smirk.
- “Come to the club, we’ll talk about your ...dilemma,” the phone goes off.
- I look back at the time, 11 pm, staring at the blank glass at the end of the room.
- *****************************
- Moving into the club, it is rowdy as usual, I take my usual sit as Gordon comes to sit beside me at the VIP spott. The waiter comes to take my order and Gordon speaks to her instead.
- “What a pleasant surprise,” Gordon howls patting my back.
- “I thought you said it was unpleasant,” turning to face him, I smirk.
- “You calling was unpleasant, but it is always nice to see you Ethan.”
- The waitress comes back with a bottle of Romanee-Conti wine, in a bucket filled with ice, she serves us and leaves,
- “You could have come straight to my office,” Gordon says to me drinking his glass.
- “I needed unwinding.” I reply downing my glass, the sting on my throat biting and first but soothing in a moment, that is why I like this wine.
- “You tycoons and your regular need for problems, it makes me richer though. So, tell me Is she pretty?” he asks me.
- That question I haven’t thought about, is Sarah beautiful?
- She's pretty yes, perfect almost, with her plastic c cup boobs and ass, pretty sure all of her might have gone through Botox, so she does have to be pretty after spending so much.
- “If you heard the news you probably saw it too,” pouring myself another, I take a slow sip this time.
- I doubt there's anyone in New York who didn’t find out about our engagement, It was on news outlets for days.
- Gordon laughs when I see a moving figure.
- A woman in a stripper outfit walks towards the dais and climbs it, her body, giving me no time to adjust to the change of atmosphere as she becomes one with the pole Gordon is talking but I can't hear him, the way she moves, intoxicating I want to guide that body and trade place with that pole, half her face hidden under a mask, I am intrigued and this isn’t my first time here Girls dance every weekend night at these clubs, nothing fancy but this woman has everyone trapped in her trans, everyone including me, she definitely is new, when she turns around we make eye contact and that’s all it takes for my trousers to tighten between my thighs, I want her “Who is she?” I ask plainly.
- “My prize possession,” Gordon says flat out downing his glass.
- “She looks new, where did you find her?”I turn to face him.
- “Why the sudden interest, you've never asked about my girls before,” he gets up.
- "I've never seen anyone like her before."
- “Let's take this discussion to a more private section,” he says heading for a door.
- I stand, downing my remaining glass, I take one look at this mysterious dancer and follow Gordon.
- “I want her” sitting on the chair facing Gordon.
- “And why would I give my prized possession to you?” he asks playing at something.
- “What do you want?” I ask him sitting up from the chair.
- “Have you forgotten you are in a dilemma Ethan?” Gordon smiles as he spins in his chair.
- "Meaning?”
- He chuckles.
- “I could have anything I want, although there is one thing.”
