Chapter 30 The Taste Of Power

Ariana's POV
I was the new queen and although it would only be for seven days, this was the power I longed and dreamt for. A chance to finally make a change and be great for the people. I was giddy as I skipped merrily back to my room when I came upon Sue-Allen standing outside my door with fresh linens. She hesitated to knock and I watched in silence and peered at her from behind a wall.
I heard her sigh loudly and held her cheek where I had struck her a few days ago. Then in a huff, she placed the basket of linens to the floor by the door and stormed off in another direction.
