Chapter 15 The Night With Him

• Ariana's POV
• Sue-Allen was correct. With my father being distracted and currently occupied with his wife-to-be, I, on the other hand, was given a free pass to my freedom. I roamed the grounds and escaped all odd hours of the nights to do whatever it was that I wanted to do. The most daring, was inviting Joshua up to my bedroom for a single night.
• It was just after mid-night when I stepped onto the balcony. The wind was chilly. I wrapped my arms around myself for warmth as I forced my eyes to see into the darkness. A touch almost made me leap out of my skin. I quickly turned around, startled and his hand clamped my mouth before the full scream was aired.
