Chapter 9 - The Transformation
- “It didn't take long for night to fall, the moon in the sky was nearly full, indicating that the transformation was near. I felt my breath grow heavy, my instincts sharpened, and I could hear an owl in the background of the forest. On the ground, I could feel a snake slithering towards a nearby burrow. I looked out the open window, sniffing the various scents that lingered in the forest, from the dew on a plant to the damp mist that enveloped the forest.
- “I'm scared…” I confessed, clenching my hands. The wolf remained mysteriously seated, not saying a word.
- The pain in my joints began, a twist in my stomach, and my ribs seemed to expand from within, as if making room for a dog's soul. “Ouch, it hurts…” I whimpered, crouching down and wrapping my arms around my stomach. “I don't want this…” I pleaded with teary eyes, looking at the Alpha in front of me. “Please, help me avoid this!”
